Funny you say that. Some years ago, me and friend (who both like spicy Thai food) took another guy with us out to lunch. We each got our usual (4 stars spicy, plus the spice tray for more), but we talked our buddy into getting his 1 star (he did not like spicy food). We all start eating, and our third wheel is sweating, tearing up, and chugging water after every bite. He looks over at us, enjoying our spice-loaded dishes with hardly a runny nose, and he says to us, “You guys are f***ing dead inside!”

I’m probably taken out at a 1/2 star…! So I can completely relate to your friend…

Somehow I sense an analogue to eve online players and new players coming in

Too true! But you know, that’s why I appreciate what you do with the MSB. That free ship you hand out is worth far more than the hull itself. You’re really saying to that new player, “Hey, it’s kind of rough out there, but don’t sweat it. You’re not in this alone. You’re part of a community now, and at least a segment of that community wants to see you succeed. Take this free ship, and know that not everyone is out to get you.”

I’ll bet that message sticks with some of those players long after that ship gets blown up, and it’s what keeps them logging in. Cheers to you, Mike.

The only time I had ghost pepper in food, it wasn’t just the spice. It gave me some nasty heartburn, gas, and hurt on the way out too. Never again.

This is nonsense, Aiko herself has a mining permit

Well fang Mike recommended that not to pay a bounty!

I will stick with my forged mining documents for now!

And look what happened to him

As if they’d have honored any agreement anyway.

Maybe it was Mike’s gift to the gankers out of pity. As they would be too stubborn to accept a handout of actual ships this was the only way to provide them with a gift. Mike’s just being infinitely generous, regardless if they attack him or not.

Gankers are very honourable, they abide by the CODE.

I am not a chili person per say, I do like nachos.

Old Lady Nachos

Ingredient Quantity
flour tortillas 4 small bags
ground beef 2 pound
refried beans 1 can 16 oz
shredded cheese 3 cups
salsa 1 jar 24 oz
sour cream as desired
1 diced green bell pepper
1 dices red bell pepper

Steps

  1. Brown beef in skillet and drain.
  2. Cut the soft flour tortillas into triangle wedges. Make them as large or as small as you like. This is less crunchy for us with fake teeth.
  3. Dice the peppers and remove seed core.
  4. Preheat your oven to 350°F/175°C.
  5. Using a baking tray, cookie sheet, or aluminum tray ( anything with depth to prevent run off ) spread a layer of soft tortilla chips.
  6. Mix beef, salsa, and refried beans in a bowl, spoon over layer.
  7. Sprinkle cheese over top.
  8. Sprinkle diced peppers on top.
  9. Repeat steps 5 to 8, until satisfied.
  10. Bake for 10 to 14 minutes until cheese melts.
  11. Spoon sour cream on top.

I can make about 2 full trays with 3 layers in my oven.

Have fun!
