Dear Fellow Capsuleers,
I am Veetor Nara, the “stats guy” / “charts guy” in the EVE_NT team, working in the Alliance Tournament every year. This time I would like to do something additional to give the viewers additional things to root for during viewing the finals.
So, let me present: the EVE_NT Fantasy Alliance Tournament!
What is the Fantasy AT?
During the feeders, we’ve recorded each pilot, team match, and their success. (You can see those here.) We also know what 16 teams will be in the finals, so, naturally there are discussions everywhere on what everyone’s dream team is. This is your chance to play around with it!
Select 10 pilots and their ships, and see how they rack up points based on their performance in the Finals.
There will be a leaderboard of whose team performs best for bragging rights™️.
Where can I see which pilots can I choose from?
Here: Fantasy feeder pilots | EVE_NT Alliance Tournament
Surely, this is more complicated! What are the exact rules?
You’re right. I do tie your hands a little. Based on feeders performance, I assigned a ‘Salary’ for each pilot. If they have a higher win rate and survival rate, they are more expensive. If they are the first one to die in a match, they are cheaper. Everyone has a fix amount of virtual ISK to pay pilot salaries, which is - what a surprise - just short of selecting a team without compromises.
What about ships? EVE is not the same without the spaceships!
You will need to put each of your selected pilots in a ship. Each pilot can fly whatever they flew in the preliminary matches. The ships can also get points to advance your team, not just your pilot.
You will need to select 10 pilots in a balanced order: 1 pilot who flew a logi, then 3-3-3 who flew large/medium/small size ships each.
What is the deadline?
You can submit a team until 2026-10-31 12:00:00 UTC (This is a few hours before the final broadcast begins)
Can I change my teams?
No, once you have selected one, that stays the same. You are, however, allowed to use your alts to register more teams. I don’t mind that.
Are the rewards?
No, according to the EVE Online EULA, this counts as games of chance, therefore collecting an entry fee, or giving out rewards is not allowed.
