Im having an issue. When I launch eve-o preview. And then launch both my accounts. the eve-o doesn’t work right. it doesn’t show up. and some times it does. when it does. I use it once. and it goes away. to show up again later. Any help would be good ty.
Check your EVE client’s Display Mode. It should be either ‘Fixed Widow’ or ‘Window Mode’, not ‘Fullscreen’
Though I’d give it a spin… I was preparing for some misbehavior given my less than trivial screen setup, but some issues are common to even simplest cases.
-
Do not, NEVER EVER resize the EVE client windows. If it’s in frameless mode, it will not detect the resize, and you will never be able to correctly restore its size due to canvas superposition issues. If it is in windowed mode, it will correctly resize the canvas, but that will destroy the internal interface layout with no hope of recovering. Just don’t do that.
-
Do not track the “EVE” window. It’s useless and confusing. Even if you do, do not resize it. Because see #1.
-
I’d like an optional VWM-friendly mode, where previews would stay where they started instead of following me though the virtual desktops.
-
It would make sense to resize the preview relative to the same anchor point as it is specified for zoom.
-
If possible, I’d like to see previews centered inside thumbnails.
-
If possible, I’d like zoomed previews to be closer in proportions to the original client windows. (Meaning, zoom the client preview, not a thumbnail that was generated from it.)
Remark: VWM (Virtual Window Manager) is a program, that extends the available desktop space by moving windows off-screen. I.e. I have dual monitor 4x height setup. Which basically gives me 8 monitors’ worth of easily accessible desktop space.
For 5. & 6., I have a “medium” client profile that is basically a vertical stripe approx. half the screen width. Lets you put two clients on one screen with minimal overlap. With default thumbnail 9:5 proportions, there’s a wide black area on the right of such clients, and it is retained on zoom in.
And speaking of zoomed in clients,
- I would really like to have active preview to not change control area. Right now, when zoomed view pops out, the entire zoomed preview is clickable, covering any other previews nearby. What I’d prefer is for active area to remain the same, allowing activation of other overlays without excessive mouse moves.
I love eve-preview, its made my dual boxing experience much much better. So let me just start off with a huge thank you for your time and patience. I do have an issue, where when I launch my clients, I full size them in windowed mode (both of them) then I open eve-preview, and 50% of the time, it stays at the 450x300 window size in the correct location that I have set it at. And the other 50% of the time, it resized down to much smaller. All I have to do is open up the settings and reset it. Do you have any idea why this takes place? Thank you, Serial BoX
Hello
Thank you.
As for your issue - please check if you have the General -> Track client location
option enabled and disable it. This should help.
Another request, that may be a big QoL improvement for everybody: Move mouse cursor to the center of activated client.
No. No input automation of any kind.
It’s not an input automation, it’s a standard Windows behavior, which is lacking in your app. Which is highly annoying for everybody used to standard behavior.
There is NO and will NEVER BE any code in EVE-O Preview that moves mouse, sends keystrokes and so on.
End of story.
Hello. In Eve-o i have a black thumbnails. They are not animation in realtime, only black thumbnails. How to fix this problem? Windows 7
Thanks
Please check if you have Aero enabled. EVE-O Preview uses Aero to create live previews.
Howdy! I’m having an issue with settings not saving upon exiting EVE-O Previewer. I’ve tried manually editing the .json in Notepad++ and saved. Upon restarting EVE-O Previewer, the settings aren’t persisting.
Is there a correct method of steps to take? Example, closing out of EVE-O Previewer before closing out of the clients. Specific issue I’m having is it not remember window locations. Track client locations is checked.
And this is my crash log:
System.Reflection.ReflectionTypeLoadException: Unable to load one or more of the requested types. Retrieve the LoaderExceptions property for more information.

Anybody can help?
You have to install .NET Framework update. Take it from here: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework-runtime
Thanks so much for ur great work on EVE-O Preview, I got a trouble about this UI above, kind of trouble me. can i fix it?
Thanks for this, it’s just amazing how well it works and how much better eve with alt is with EVE-O Preview.
It’s even really easy to get working and customize to fit your needs
Any solution? Have win10 64x
Win10 has native .Net 4.5+ framework, you don’t have to install it.
Yes, I already have the net included, so I don’t know why multiboxing throws the error
