This shows how long you have with the community. Once it removes a feature and doesnā€™t provide another solution to the problem. If they are not skilled, the community is. If you canā€™t do it, make sure the community can. Need help? I guarantee that the community cooperates, why? Because the community likes it and does it for pleasure, not for money. It could even be something innovative, where I havenā€™t seen an open source project from CCP so far. Instead of putting 4 people on the development team to solve a problem, put 1 to evaluate what the community does. Bring the community to your projects, which still requires much more time online.

Iā€™m disappointed that Eve Portal is now not available. Itā€™s one of the factors why I subscribe and will now be under consideration. The function to buy and sell Plex and update the skills was so good for me having limited time.

Release the source code on GitHub and allow the community to keep developing and improving the app.

if you have android, evanova still worksā€¦ yea its minimal in what it could do compared to the portal but its still better than nothing at all.

The app had likable features but the functional issues made it like sandy snickers bars. The best features I saw were:

  1. ability to manage skill queues outside the game client.
  2. the ability to do some limited trading outside the game client.
  3. NES store access outside the game client.

#3 was probably the biggest. #2, even just being able to start and stop queues would be nice.

Maybe there is another way of which I am not aware.

No other app allows it. Evanova doesnt come close, but it lets you at least manage mail or fittings

I think the biggest problem us that several of the things the app allowed you to do were not done through the API.

Would it be possible to make the app accessible for OMEGA users only?

  1. OMEGA users pay monthly subscription fee which could fund app development.
  2. Getting access to the mobile app could be an incentive to subscribe to OMEGA.
  3. Not having thousands of Alpha accounts on the app infrastructure requires less resources on the app infrastructure (compute, API overload,ā€¦)
