Well, I’ve been ‘Lost In Space’ for the past 8 months so I didn’t have access to a Portrait Studio for a new portrait. However now that I’m safely back in New Eden, I will definitely get a new one done up asap…

Every now and then I get back to one of the portraits I already made and tweak a bunch of things. Stance and contrast in this case, I like this version a little better.
Also I made a new character!
The best part of making new characters (at least, for me) is that you get to make a new portrait!

Like I posted earlier, I’ve been ‘Lost In Space’ for a while and when I finally got back, I quickly went in to update my portrait. Unfortunately I forgot to first visit the local Barber shop for a shave and haircut…
As most of you know, this is not my usual look. However this Nomad look actually helps portray my recent situation of being ‘Lost In Space’. Plus it looks pretty good too, especially since I’m Minmatar…

A quick visit to the Barber and local Tailor is exactly what was needed to make this Capsuleer feel like a billion bucks… And that’s pretty close to how much the new Suit cost… 
(Tip - Portraits can also be used to help with the role play aspect of this game, for example my previous portrait showed my character was ‘Lost In Space’ for quite a while whereas this portrait shows him back in New Eden with access to all the comforts that Capsuleers enjoy in known space.)

In lieu of the October Holiday Season, I figured it was time to revive an old portrait I did 8 years ago.
Demon DMC
The main point of this original portrait is that there wasn’t any extra apparel items used, it was all done with just the basic items available in character customization. Course it took a bit of time but in the end I was able to create a very unique character portrait. After creating it, I then entered it into the 2014 LAGL Forum Halloween Costume Contest and won 3rd place (voting done by CCP).
Since there’s a lot of different apparel items available now, I decided to revisit this portrait and hopefully make it better by adding facial and body augmentations. Having said that, the only thing left to say is…

I decided to do a different approach with this portrait by turning the character so that the full front of it is lit up with a little shadow starting to develop going towards the back. I also added yellow tint lighting to match the background.
The tragic Turnur event of YC124 is the inspiration for this portrait.

I also tried the same lighting effect with a female character. Unfortunately their lighting effects aren’t quite the same as male characters. Same goes for the various poses too…
Also female characters don’t have an Impact Flight Suit like male characters… so I used the next best thing, an Exploration / Capsuleer Networker XV Suit…
