Seasonal Eve Online – every 3 months

Separate server, so it wont impact the main server – 2 tiers, one is free tier one is paid tier, just like login rewards, plex tier and free tier

Free tier has training speed of 2x or 5x , paid tier has 5x or 10x

Plex tier gets 10mil SP starting from rewards and better Tier 2 Ships fully fitted

Free tier gets 5mil SP starting tier 1 ships, fully fitted

There is NO ISK on the server, there is a new currency,

You can get the new currency from everything, just like on the main server,

The Seasonal Server is smaller, has fewer maps cca 50.

The Maps will have many drone sites and mining belts and the rarity and difficulty will increase the further you are from the main HUB.

Season Server missions where you earn coins, reputation and fully fitted ships

Tier 1-5 missions, from tier 4 you need extra players to be able to handle the missions.

Allow all ships to be able to be purchased with the new currency but make the battleship onwards prohibited in price. Only big groups and very dedicated players can afford the battleships size ships.

Make Jita main hub and add merchants that will sell fully fitted t1 ships and all t1 mods

Simplify the building process for t2 ships. All t2 ships and t2 mods are obtained from mission rewards and from crafting.

End of Season, free tier will have around 10 mil SP from training and daily logins/rewards from season.

Plex tier will have 20 mil SP

There will be an option to transfer to main server, keep ALL the SP gained on Season Server

After the transfer to main server the Seasonal Characters will get one of each t2 t3 ships fully fitted with t2 mods up until battleships – the plex tier

The free tier gets one of each t1 ships -fully fitted

Both tiers get +12 for 14 days

The Ships will have an implicit – not sellable-salvageable

Make a selectable option for what ships would you like from what faction and for what specialization – fight, mine, industry etc

So EVE, but without the good parts like a single shard persistent universe and continuous player-made history where everything you do has impact on the game?

Not my taste, but others might like it.

I can predict what will happen though when this is available:

Activity on the main server dies.

And I probably would quit because I have no time to keep up with some seasonal FOMO nonsense.

i agree with @Gerard_Amatin , this post goes against 1 of EvE’s core principles…1 single shard server…

this post should be blocked as an attack on the game and CCP itself.

I see your points, i understand them, the focus of the seasons should be about getting new players into the game

I’d rather we do that with a tutorial that makes it clear industry is for large groups (or multiboxers) and that highsec is a tutorial area and you should join a corp promptly.

Eve isn’t a game where you can speedrun to the end of the story in a few hours, complete a build and start grinding to perfect that build. In order to do what you want, you’d have to make a completely different game.

That said, I’d probably play a sci-fi spaceship ARPG, but there’s no real way to make Eve into one.

Tutorial zones have easier NPCs and mechanics to protect the players from themselves, like Concord. Therefore, Highsec is a tutorial zone.
