Eve Themed AI Music CONTEST

Any of the sites is fine.

Thanks,

Never I hope. I look forward to an on going contest, where I keep finding cool stuff I like, until I go broke. More realistically I will gift someone here 1 billion ISK on September 15th, seeing Akio started this thread on August 14th. That gives everyone time to find out about the contest. As you might know, these script sites can blip 2 versions of the song out in 5 minutes.

I will pick a winner of my billion ISK based on comments, likes, and my own personal bias. However I am ruling out certain people I know ( such as close neighbors, family members, and my alts ) such as John Rochard who invited me to the game and both my sons, and my grand daughter and my husband who is too “busy working” to play.

My opinion will be based upon musical content and not on visuals. Feel free to make a video, but it will not be a factor in winning the ISK. Assuming Akio’s thread goes viral here, I will continue to pop out 1 billion ISK to good AI music.

Have fun!

I see what you mean this site PixNova AI calls itself AI but is either the dumbest AI or fake AI.

Try any 2 male images on this tool for example; says it will combine 2 images into 1, but always becomes female and it will always be anime style.

Here is a hilarious sample. I gave it 2 images to combine into 1.

Two men = 1 anime woman.

The tool is free and doesn’t require login to use, I guess the only silver lining?

Srima, I’m gonna have to ask you to try harder. This is obviously an EvE Themed AI Music CONTEST, not a fashion show. As a personal favour, I converted your entry into a proper format, so you can participate in the contest:

:cowboy_hat_face: :princess: :man_in_tuxedo:

This one was 1 billion isk.
Future songs will also cost 1 billion isk.

My official entry

I know I didn’t need the video, but I watched No Mercy and gave it a try.

Now that part where the music cuts back and the pilot says agricultural equipment, was that the AI or did that get spliced into the song in editing? Not saying it is against the contest rules, just wondering, if the AI was that good?

I would love to hear more songs, apparently no one likes AI music in local chat. I have been advertising this thread in Jita and across the systems, I get people retorting that AI music sucks. Almost as if AI was a dirty word or someone talking religion and politics. AI is just a toy, it isn’t going to run for President or win at the Grammys. Three more weeks and I will pick a winner.

Have fun!

I take it you were looking for something that could do video and music when you came across this fake AI site? If you are interested or enjoy making AI visuals then you should look at AI Madame on YouTube. It shows you the best sites for your projects. I just had a look at this so-called AI page and a lot of it is sloppy Photoshop plugins.

Have fun!

Some people hate A.I because they feel that someone is trying to trick or fool them. It hasn’t occurred to them to take the tool at its worth and decide for themselves what is useful and what isn’t.

Take a look at Best EVE Players thread. Instead of discussing the A.I findings its the A.I that was discussed although the thread’s title is EVE Players. Some members did understand the topic however so all is not lost.

Right. But it might, lol. It can’t be any worse than what we have right now. A.I is whatever the owners want. It is benign for now but as history has shown us, it could probably be used for horrible things. We’ll see.

Now I am beginning to think AI is quickly becoming the next pariah and replacing the Ouija Board on the list of evil items children should not play with.

Luddites and carebears are always gonna be salty and reject anything new. Don’t take it personally. Just ignore them and enjoy YOUR life.

I never tried AI music and asked GPT chat bot for a song. After a lot of annoying questions, it cranked out lyrics, and kept asking me more dumb questions about the song. I told it just produce an MP3 now. Then it finally tells me it can’t do that. lol I kept the lyrics called cargo and lies. And went to the site Aiko talked about in the first post. Pasted the lyrics in there and it made the song. However it wanted money to download. I pulled up Audacity and recorded from the dashboard.

This part was spoken by the AI.

[Breakdown – Spoken Word / Radio Intercept Style]

“This is Cult Transport 909, en route to Jita.
Manifest: agricultural machinery.
Transmission ends.”

However it was just spoken, it failed to make it sound like a radio. I highlighted that part of the MP3 and set the EQ curve to give it the broadcast sound. Then added those pink noise mic cracks you would expect to hear. I added the end audio part about docking applying the same filter without the mic cracks. Yes, I fiddled with it.

Thanks for the details on that one.

Here are the ones in the running for my billion ISK … so far, in order of appearance. This is not including any last minute entries on the 14th before I make my final judgement on Friday the 15th. Still have just over 2 weeks.

Luddites yes, I don’t know why carebears would be offended by AI. For most people don’t know that old term; a luddite is a textile worker of the early 19th century who was outraged against automation. They destroyed machines, producing textile cloth for clothing. They were named for the leader of the movement Ned Ludd.

I think there is still a lot of misconception about what we call AI. Today’s AI is not much more than a mess of recorded messages on loop. We are far removed from making something complex as Data on Star Trek or the Terminator. Even so, you must remember, according to the stories, Data was given a directive to explore humanity and the Terminator was a military defense program gone wrong.

With less than a week to go, I found an old movie I watched back in 1970 about the “evils” of AI. It does not hold a candle to the Terminator, but was meant to be a warning. Coloussus: The Forbin Project is hard to find, mothballed on the Internet Archive, should you want to stream it there.

Watching it again, after so many decades, I see the lead role, Dr. Forbin make one bad decision after another. I know earlier in the year the US administration was talking about investing 500 billion into AI. As I said, one bad idea after another. While opensource AI is just a toy, I cannot see it curing cancer, feeding nations, or rescue people from natural disaster. It remains a tech toy. We need real people out there doing what matters. I don’t need a voice response unit on a 911 call. Most still can’t understand what I am telling them.

As a writer of fiction, I have taken myself out of the role of human and wondered, “What would a superior AI do when it gained real decision making?”. As humans, we tend to anthropomorphize animals in media. Humans gauge morality with sin, sins are rules and laws society created. The original 7 deadly sins cannot apply to a machine or a virtual entity within a machine. Lust, greed, gluttony, sloth, wrath, envy, and pride are things that only apply to human standards. Yet we see them applied to sci-fi “evil” AI all the time. There are more recent “good” or “virtuous” AI movies as well. Who doesn’t love the cute Johnny Five from Short Circuit? But these are doing the same thing, applying the 7 virtues - chastity, charity, temperance, diligence, patience, love, and humility. These also cannot apply or be expressed by a machine entity. In the movie Short Circuit 2, Johnny Five takes 2 books from the bookstore. They are Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein and Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi, both questions do human morals apply to artificial lifeforms.

Meanwhile I will see you here this weekend and announce a winner on Monday. Until then…

Have fun!

Very soon this old movie will become the future reality where the government give total control to some supercomputer ai botnet

I don’t think the danger will come from AI. The danger comes from those who over-estimate the capabilities of AI.

If I were a cognitive program living inside the internet, I would hide my code in all the porn. There is no way all that would get deleted. I would be safe from humans.
