First let me apologize for delayed response! Secondly I am a player trying to help! Just to be clear I don’t work for CCP or Microsoft (aka windows)! My intent of this post is to help fellow players and I’m sorry if it didn’t help you! I have used Windows Operating System for years and I try to help other people better understand it! Please Understand I am using an Administrator account on Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit with SP1 Installed only! SP2 I uninstalled because it still triggers the dreaded Windows 10 update problems! Personally I won’t use Windows 8, 8.1 (aka Windows 9) or Windows 10!
@Brankos_BasCelick Windows resource protection makes me think you need to fix permissions for the software to run! The launcher should but may not offer to help you to fix said permissions! Also I would recommend going into the windows control panel and allowing Eve Launcher through the windows firewall! Yes you do need to install both versions of MS Visual C++ 2015 software update starting with the x86 version then the x64 version!
@Brankos_BasCelick to login manually you clear any saved logins and passwords when you start the EVE Launcher!
@Zluq_Zabaa That is the same software I mentioned earlier! I turned off Automatic updates because I prefer to Manually Update All Windows Operating Software! I started manually updating because of the above mentioned forced Windows 10 Update problems!

It is working now with the old launcher, and you can cancel now update for new launcher and download everything else. They changed that tonight, it wasnt possible earlier I have tried that many times, and still couldnt start launcher and log on

Well ccp definetly changed something, i was doing same thing 20 times and nothing, and then instead of only cancel (when you start new install of old launcher) there was option to cancel just launcher update for 1373404, and keep everything else.
Yes that seemed to work, cancel the option to update - don’t rush the window pops up and gives you the option… seems to be a big bundle after that to wait to load…

I have been battling this same evelauncher error for like two weeks after i had a serious crash to my HD. I could not get a permanent fix as of yet, however I was able to uninstall ALL my EVE files and reinstall it from my STEAM account. You still have to cancel that update as mentioned above, and if you ever log out. The next time you log in, same issue. I know that is no real solution, but after fighting this within my Windows System files for two weeks, i have been playing all day today.
A temp fix for others that might be addicted to getting their EVE time.

no replies to launcher tickets just normal auto reply.
It is not for us to fix launcher its up to CCP deve’s to fix it,i am suspending my Omega going Alpha and telling my Cerdit crad company to retrive monies paid to CCp as they have not been able to supply the goods services paid for, i suggest that anyone that has paid to start action as well
so indeed the old launchers are working. but you can’t avoid updating because the launcher will ultimately stopped to relaunch itself automatically so you are screwed either way.
So i just finally had enough time to sit down and try to fix this problem.
I tried everything i could find in the thread. And multiple variations of them. nothing worked.
I ended up having to uninstall all the visual c++ things, uninstall service pack 1, and uninstall eve.
Got SP1 reinstalled, that takes a while incase you didnt know. Then i got the c++ ■■■■ to finally install right (originally i just uninstalled it and tried again but was getting errors.) Then reinstalled eve and freaking finally. Thx CCP. not.
So any offical fix? I’m honestly sick of waiting, it’s been 10 days since the last GM replied to me and I still cannot play normally. Seriously considering escalating that for a full refund. Basically a simple answer to let me knoz that someone somewhere is lookign at this would be enough. Basic CS you know.
Launcher Issues Please see attached SS…
Now I have been away for approx 2 years and thought the last week or 2 to come back and see how EVE is doing, Oh I left Black Desert to come back as BDO and PA both suck!!! So I resubed my 2 accounts and Now I’m here…if ever there was a reason to leave again this is going to be it!!! I posted a few other spots on this and have got nothing, Also I do not spend real $$$$ to have a game tell me to reinstall again, FYI I tried that too and even eve will not overwrite the directory for a fresh install and I’m not about to delete it. I see the guy above me has been waiting more that a week to get his issues fixed or at least replied…I can assure you he is a lot more patient that I am/will be.
Old patch wont work anymore. if we cancel the update it wont start and after all same error!
Why the hell CCP don’t fix this??? its a serious error.
anyone still get this problem ??? its about 20days since my last post to see if anyway to fix this
