The “Hydration Excavation - Harvest Hiemal Tricarboxyl Condensate from the Ice Dwarf. Rewards 30 points” is also not working if it is acquired as a replacement for a previously completed task.
Also be aware that the “Process Hiemal Tricarboxyl Vapor” task requiring 800 units to complete is wrong. It actually requires 800 Hiemal Tricarboxyl Condensate.

I’m not saying there’s no room for PVP your saying there’s no room for other gaming styles that CCP have added to the game content and use to promote and sell the game… there’s enough ways to get into ganking, these events are supposed to be for all players from 500,000 SP starters on Alpha to the 200 mill 12-14 year old alts that run corps and alliance in Null… a way to expand the narrow minded ‘caveman’ squad with more ways to play than smashing at each other… but i guess that’s above your intellect… and with this event clearly abandoned for greed by CCP…

i have been trying to get gas (the process is too damn slow ffs!!!) and it doesnt fade away.
Edit: did CCP just added gas clouds with radius of 300km and that causes the issue? Do they even test their stuff?
Edit2: volume per gas unit is insane for the objectives that require it! 20m3 per unit and you need 350 of those for one and 800 for another? WTF!? Venture mines 2 units of these per cycle, about 2 cycles per minute, so 4 units per minute and you need 200 minutes of uninterrupted gas sucking to complete objective? Are you sane/sober there at CCP?
Technically speaking this is not true, but only because CCP screwed up that Agency task. That 800 unit task is wrong. It will complete if you reprocess 800 units of Hiemal Tricarboxyl Condensate at a regular station.
Emm, eve is sandbox not conflict driven PVP. The rest is up to the people in sandbox and on my personal opinion the community in eve is one of the worst in games.
Why do these ships pop up on grid and not land when they leave the ice dwarf?? They just show up at the station and have an extra long invul timer They don’t land to other players do.???
Okay I am not one to complain but I think I should through it out there that even after the update this morning, I am still having problems with this event. Which is sad for me since it is my first event I have ever gotten to be part of. To the CCP personal that is ready this, the problem I am having is with the “Hydration Excavation” chain. It is asking me to “Harvest Tricarboxyl Condensate from the Ice Dwarf.” I have mined over 1500 units out of the event site in the system I am working out of and still the needle never moves for this one mission. What is funny about this mission is that I have already done it once yesterday and it work then it appeared again and now it is not working. Just some fyi for who ever does or does not care.
General review for the event; I would have to say not all bad just annoying how things are not working yet when fixes happen they don’t or can’t retroactively correct based on the work you have done. The puzzle of learning what to tank and how made a lot of people upset but I personally enjoyed it until I had to refit the 4 ships I was using with the same set of mods cause I am a cheapo.

Just scanned the entire thread. Tried the event yesterday, found it confusing and realized my Diemos and Muninn also needed speed tank to survive. Mordus cruiser and frig loot junk, got lucky with one BS and got the Omnivore mod, checked markets and prices dropping like the Dow Jones.
Liked the mining in Crimson Harvest, but this seems unduly over-complicated.
All this for some lame skins? Oh, and didn’t realize I could be ganked carte blanche in Hisec until reading above.
I have my brightness set at about 15% anyway, and wear those blue-blocker yellow filters. Yeah, reached for the NSAIDs after 45 minutes.
After reading the 2nd day post-patch comments, I’ll go back to shagging drones in Faction Warfare systems…
Take it back about being ok… I flew into a wall in space. I take a warp gate and poof in a pod in the middle of the warp. Nice CCP, nice you do truely hate people that try to mine. : )
I think this is something modern game developers sometimes don’t see. People like Crimson Harvest because it’s not only rewarding, its elegant in it’s simplicity.
Every bad event they have had was bad because they were experimenting. Sure, you need some of that to figure out how to proceed, the problem is that CCP KNOWS what works already, and then seems to ignore that knowledge.
Incidentally, this is why people STILL prefer Anomalies and Missions (even if they say they don’t. actions speak louder than words) instead of Abyss stuff and the ‘better AI’ PVE they’ve added over the last few years.
