1.05 mill sp cut 20 days training time woot
It seems that the solution here is not to provide such a huge end reward for all the days (1m SP) - just split it over several days near the end (250k per day, or something). Then at least there isn’t such a cliff if you miss a day or two.

That would miss the point. It’s about encouraging players to startup and login to the client as many days as possible. Next time it will certainly be about 29 of 30 days, to get any valuable rewards.

I thought you could claim the days that you missed during the celebration on your next login. 
I haven’t been able to find the time to login recently due to classes taking the bulk of time and I wanted to nab the lore bits and cosmetics for myself, but when I finally got the chance to log in today I realized I wasn’t most of the way there. Serves me right I guess for not knowing.

Well, I’m happy to be wrong about that. Turns out a couple days ago the 16 plex skin was Mackinaw Morphite Shine. I got the Skiff Morphite Shine skins back when they were in the NES but wasn’t flying Hacks/Macks yet, so didn’t bother… now those skins aren’t for sale in the store and it’s hard to find them on the market (and when you do, people want between 500 mil and 2 bil for 'em… EACH ;D).
SO… got a set of Mackinaw skins to go with my Skiff skins now. I went ahead and bought some Lodestrike Hulk skins from Jita a few weeks ago (someone was selling 3 of 'em for real cheap, like 145 mil when the Lodestrike Mackinaw seller is trying to get 565 mil for 'em), snagged 2 real quick).
Ghostbird Crane skins also were on sale a few days ago and I would have gotten them… except all 3 of my mains own that one already for their Cranes. 
Also, that Sabre Hazard Control or whatever… already have that on my dictor pilot, though. So anyway, there’s been at least 2 or 3 skins I’d consider getting since I said the above, and it’s not quite over yet!
Oh, and the other Tengu jungle stripey pattern skin was the sale yesterday, so anyone wanting to get both the orange and the green coulda spent 32 PLEX instead of the 195 or whatever for the bundle of both, niiiiiice.

Skill-accelerator type boosters, yep. Agency boosters (the +1%, 3%, 5%, 7% tank / damage / speed ones) never expire. And they have the blue icon in the corner of the item icon as well.
The 50% and 75% social standings boosters (one each given last Christmas and one each given again during this 16th birthday party) didn’t expire at first, either… but as of a March patch, now they expire in October. So use 'em up if you care about NPC standings, folks!

It’s not screwing people out of rewards. They’re free bonus things. If you get them, great… if you don’t get them, you didn’t lose anything, you just didn’t gain something. That’s not the same thing as a loss, and people really need to stop taking it so personally.
It’s also not a lie, they specified when the last day was and how many total days of rewards there were when this began way back on May 2nd, right up front. O_o
I understand feeling the way they structured it was unfair/unfun, but that’s not the same thing as a lie/screw-over.
That’s an option… but they kinda did that already, there was a few more 100k spread out in the week or two before that final day. But I get that you mean the final day is a bit too backloaded.
I managed to do the first 16 days in a row and thus finished yesterday… 29 out of 30 might be doable, but screw up more than once and you’re toast if the final day is all that.
And egad, if they do that, it’ll be 60 out of 60 days the next time and then uh oh. Should be leaderboard showing who managed to get 'em all.
It’s EVE’s birthday, not ours. If it was our birthday, this would be rude, yes… but it’s EVE’s party, so we’re the ones getting the presents for EVE. (pssst! the presents are our logins, you see?)
Yeah, that’s true. Course I’m talking about the one’s you get in the redeem queue, not the one’s that drop from Event NPC’s in-game.
Guess I could have been more specific and said both Attribute and Social Boosters. Other than that, I don’t remember ever getting any Agency Tank/Speed/Damage Boosters in the redeem queue.

Oh, well - missed 3 days (work and a funeral) - so no Day 16 for me
Still, it demonstrates (to me) CCP’s commitment to its a attempts to woo it’s new owners (and $ bonuses) rather than it’s customers (should have been a longer grace period).

So does this run out at downtime tomorrow? I managed to claim 15 gifts as of after downtime today, but if It runs out at downtime tomorrow do I miss the 1mill Skill points?
Been subscribed on two accounts for 9 years with no break, have not been home to log in until the last day.
Pretty gutted not gonna lie.
Missed the final reward by one day. Pretty disheartening.
I logged in every day and got my rewards, but I still have the opinion that CCP was misleading when they stated that you didn’t have to login consecutively. It mislead people to believe that they could “catch up” on the rewards for a few days if they logged in and out and collected the rewards.
I feel, for the pilots who have real life that interferes unexpectedly, that they should extend the collection for a week. It was their wording that mislead these people to think it would be okay and I agree.
Especially the part as I understand it, where an alpha can turn omega and “catch up” immediately on the rewards. That puts the existing loyal customers in a much lower place in the minds of CCP.

CCP doesn’t care, the mission was accomplished. Have a look at eve offline concurrent player count, and you will see the success in artificially boosting login numbers. It’s not about players, or “gifts”, it’s about numbers to show.

CCP&Hollomar want nerds and hard core players (+ whales to pay for awhole show), but that kind of gamers don’t give a ■■■■ for anicent and boring game like Eve, instead of them CCP&Hollomar got bunch of sociopats who were expelled from all normal MMOs
