There’s no way to tell since there’s no way to know how many alts there are in the game.
The thing about the doomsayers is that they’re bound to be right one day, we just don’t know when.
We also don’t know how many new players sign up and continue playing after the initial curiosity wears off. There isn’t enough information for someone outside of CCP to make any prognostications.
Also, even when CCP is done adding content and working on the game, it could easily go another 10 years before they decide that the Downtime itself is an economic drain.
It goes back all the way to the summer of rage in 2011 when players became aware of how the people in charge of the game did not actually care about the game. Rather they cared about money, the irony is the more you care about money the less you are going to make.
