Evie Kouvo for CSM 16

Try catching them when you roll into them or undocking from your fort in your farm, then we can have a discussion.

If you don’t have solutions why would anyone in high class vote for you?

I mentioned two alternatives to hole rolling that are not mutually exclusive with each other as a possible solution. I would love to bring those ideas to CCP and other fellow CSM members to brainstorm further.

So your first suggestion lets the krabs know earlier of a possible threat to start extracting. The second would work if you had enough sabres to scram every mjd bs. Both woefully unappealing to anyone that rolls c5s or c6s.

Yore suppose to be the knowledgeable member on whs, not the ns/ls/hs csm members.

I don’t think that this represents normal interactions with roach fleets. Most roach fleets won’t rat if there is a frig hole connected to them, so the fact that you caught a fleet makes me think this is the exception, not the norm. If you roll into a roach fleet that is paying attention then all but 1 of the krabbing ships should be able to mjd out and warp to safety.

Agreed, definitely not. But it was really funny.

Wait, so are high class WHers complaining that ratting is to safe?

If you paid more attention, you would see that high class wormholers have been complaining about the lack of commitment in krabbing ever since the Citadel expansion.

Yeah, and they’re not wrong to say that sub-cap high-class ratting fleets are really difficult to catch when they are careful. They usually roll all the connecting holes and if they see a new sig or ships on d-scan, they can hit their MJDs, warp off to a safe, and cloak up before most ships can get on grid and grab them.

In order to catch them you need to either seed their system and scan out an entrance to it without them noticing, or roll into it. Assuming you do that, you still have to warp in and scram them before they MJD, and that is very difficult to do. If you have a big frigate gang or a bunch of interceptors maybe you’ll catch a few of them, but most of the time when you roll into them you won’t have a fleet like that just ready to go and it needs to be.

It’s not impossible. It is inarguably very difficult though. Disabling MJDs in high class sites or something along those lines would go a long way toward making the risk/reward ratio of those kinds of fleets more balanced.

Rolling into them isn’t any good. As soon as the sig spawns they will be spoiling MJDs. So you have to combat scan them and get to them before they do this. Which you can’t. Best case you get 1 or 2 which are scrammed in site. They start to evac the second they see a sig or anyone login in the system

Log off traps can work but are difficult. Wherever you attempt to tackle them you need to do this without being seen anywhere.

We haven’t even covered the new thing they are doing. Some of these fleets have been observed to filament out while in site. They don’t even need to MJD. They can actively drop from fleet any toon with a combat timer and then filament the entire fleet out from the site. Good luck catching that.

A longer delay until k162 sigs show up in the probe window would be nice.

Hadn’t even thought about filamenting straight out of the site. That’s definitely gotta go.

A longer delay until k162 sigs show up in the probe window would be nice.

thats the style of changes I will promote. I am very hesitant to propose changes that can have long lasting and potentially unforeseen consequences.

Wow, you have absolutely no reason to be on the csm.

WH space is such a unstable and unforgiving space. It changes the way you play the game so one or two solutions do not work every time. You cant change WH space the same way you can with known space. All that dose is hurt the people who live their while benefitting everyone else. So if you look at a change for both sides and think how it can effect both K-space and J-space differently it would go a lot further in benefitting the game and the community as a whole, rather then heavily favoring one side or the other. Its Forward thinking people like Mr. Evie Kouvo that would shape the game we love for the better!

A great conversation and a well respected wormholer.
