I was wondering, if it is possible as an alpha to fly barge, when i use the mining expert system. Some people say it cant, but one ISD told me, it is possible, bc it “unlock” the ship

Yes expert systems allow you to fly ships you normally wouldn’t be able to, so you can get a taste of what its like to be omega, and even start training for them as well while the ES is active.
You can fly Omega ships unlocked by Expert system IF you have all required skills to do so. Expert system may not provide ALL required skills. See example below:
As you can see - Winter Nexus expert system unlocks you expedition frigates (omega level ships), but you need two more skills trained to V to be able to fly that Endurance. Until you train those you should not activate your exper system or you will just waste it.
So always check what skills expert system provides!
