Exploration Question

When an anomaly is scanned down is it then open for all pilots to use, for example, if I scan down a wormhole…

Is the WH now open for all pilots

Is it open for only pilots with scanning skills

The pilot won’t be able to warp there unless he got the signature scanned aswell. Or if he pinpointed your location with combat probes.

Everyone sees the same signatures/anomalies, and everyone has to scan the signatures to warp to them. (Unless a corpmate scanned it and saved the bookmark for corp, or they get a fleet warp to it.)

So when you scan down a signature, someone else may have done so before you and could be waiting in the site.

Once you’ve scanned down a signature, or obtained the location through some other means, you’re free to warp any kind of ship to it, it doesn’t need a probe launcher.

Minor point - If it’s a wormhole, it may be restricted in size (which you’ll see on its ‘Show Info’ data). Being able to warp to it doesn’t automatically imply you can jump through it.

Yup, also with some combat sites, they’ll have acceleration gates which restrict which ships can go through.

Also the Signature location needs to be bookmarked before changing ships

And don’t forget to bookmark the other side of the wormhole before you warp away from it…
