Faction standing & escalation sites

While I’m not a new player, this is the first time I’ve run into something I can’t find a definitive answer to.

The Gallente hate me, I’m at -6 standing with them, I currently have two escalations in the same system in Gallente space. If I make it through the gates and to those sites, will the Gallente navy or police track me to that site and attack me, or do they only attack on gates & stations?

Nope, they follow you everywhere.

They are like ex-lover’s they will show up everywhere and start hitting you.
