Faction war alpha bots

Check their killboard. Who flys with 12,000 rounds of ammo?

Bots do.

And just by that, you gave the bot coders the idea to limit the amount of ammo and put in a dock/restock subroutine, partly to make them even less obvious.

And just like that Itā€™s still obvious they are bots.

One possible way to frustrate the bots using resources already available within eve would be to use the hacking minigame, or a variation thereof. Once the timer on an offensive or defensive plex has been run down, require a player to successfully hack the beacon in order to close the site (either to hijack the beacon if running an offensive plex, or to purge malicious software if running a defensive plex). Have a failed or abandoned hacking attempt lock the player out of the beacon for 3 minutes to prevent bots from brute-forcing it. Note that by locking the individual player out rather than rolling back the timer, people would not be able to block plexes by deliberately failing the hack. In order to not handicap plexers, require them to interract with the beacon through the menu rather than a hacking module, so as not to take up a midslot.

A lot of people over ammo. I have, especially in a task like FW plexes where you donā€™t need to dock and speed is key.

To be fair this idea of bots with way too much ammo has been discussed within the warzone for over a month. Pretty sure if the gig was going to be up, it would be by now.

That being said, I just see this as a target rich environment. Might I offer you some Maulus Navy Issue? Hot off the LP factory line

Or just use Amarr / Lasers?

You mean like the ones that even with a faction scram still cant catch a punisher with 5 stabs? How about a max warp core strength of 3 on t1 frigates? That would be an improvement. Still doesnt change the fact that we shouldnt have to waste our time chasing stabbed farmers just to keep them from unbalancing the warzone.

This has got to be a troll post - 90% of minmatar ships are stabbed frigatesā€¦

But hey, look at all these amarr botters bashing an IHUB:

Actualy I do not kill them,I just ignore them.It has more to do with the time spent capturing the wz.

This has been the nature of the warzone for as long as I have been there.

He who controls the plexers, controls the war.

So EVE has bots that work for FW, mining, ratting, spamming local with scams, and in the market. Does that leave exploration, mission running, transportation, and PvP as the only activities that are bot free or is that wishful thinking?

Mission running & exploration? Iā€™m sure there must be bots for those.

If by transportation you mean hauling contracts rather than distribution missions (which must surely be among the easier missions to code a bot for?) Iā€™d have thought there was no point in developing one when you have auto pilot, but probably easy to code for (?) so surprising if no one has, though I imagine anyone making a hauling bot would probably limit it to hi sec contracts only.

PVP? canā€™t imagine why anyone would want a bot for that (illegal key-binders / order duplicators for multiboxing yes but bots no) so youā€™re probably safe with that one.

Yes, yes I think it is :worried: but I also donā€™t think theyā€™re as prevalent as some would have us believe.

That doesnt mean its the way it should be. Broke is broke.
