As a matter of interest - I’ve been having long-term troubles with my internet connection. This finally made it’s way up to my ISP’s senior engineer, who rang me up this afternoon to discuss the issue. During that conversation it transpired that he was a long-time Eve player (Caldari) who’d recently returned after a few years off. I mentioned this ‘dumbing-down’ claim to him and he disagreed saying that, on the contrary, it was much more complex now than it ever was, and that made for a much more interesting game.
Just one datum, but I thought it worth mentioning.
As much as he’s researching us for supposedly hating him, I’m beginning to think he’s the dangerous one. After all, how far a step is it from online stalking to real life stalking.
Perhaps we shpuld have this “fair play alliance”, if only so we can stop Salvos from taking a game personally.
