[Feature & Idea Suggestion] Mercenary Faction (Caldari/Minmatar Faction)

CONCEPT

The Mercenary faction has a presence across the EVE universe as an unaligned entity that delivers devastating missile and projectile damage. Mercenaries can be highly aggressive and rely on their shield buffer and high damage dealing potential in lieu of straight tanking capabilities. Mercenaries specialty is their high damage alpha missile launchers, which fire significantly slower than normal missile launchers but provide a high amount of damage. Utilizing projectile weaponry to beat back their opponents shields, the Mercenaries will unleash a torrent of hell in a singular missile that is designed to significantly damage enemy ships, allowing their continuous barrage of projectiles to finish their targets off. Due to the extended launcher loading periods of their missile launchers, the Mercenary faction has been known to use guerrilla warfare tactics while executing daring missions inside Empire and CONCORD controlled space.

Technician (Frigate Hull)

Minmatar Frigate bonuses (per skill level):
+10% bonus to Small Projectile Turret tracking speed
Caldari Frigate bonuses (per skill level):
+20% bonus to Light Missile and Rocket explosion velocity

Role Bonus:
400% bonus to Light Missile and Rocket Damage
25% bonus to micro-warp drive duration
•Light Missile Launchers and Rocket Launchers fitted to this vessel require twice as long to fire.

High Slots 3

Medium 4
Low 3

Veteran (Cruiser Hull)

Minmatar Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
+10% bonus to Medium Projectile Turret tracking speed
Caldari Cruiser bonuses (per skill level):
+20% bonus to Heavy Missile and Heavy Assault Missile explosion velocity

Role Bonus:
600% bonus to Heavy Missile and Heavy Assault Missile Damage
50% reduction to micro-warp drive activation cost

Authority (Battleship Hull)

Minmatar Battleship bonuses (per skill level):
+10% bonus to Large Projectile Turret tracking speed
Caldari Battleship bonuses (per skill level):
+20% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo missile explosion velocity

Role Bonus:
800% bonus to Cruise Missile and Torpedo Damage
100% reduction to micro jump drive activation time
•Cruise Missile and Torpedo Launchers fitted to this vessel require twice as long to fire.

Blueprint Acquisition:

Mercenary Outposts will spawn exclusively in low security and NPC null sec space. If the outposts are not destroyed, Mercenaries will enter Faction Warfare sites, Asteroid belts and camp the gates of the outpost systems. Mercenary Outpost systems will appear on The Agency like other related content.

Sounds interesting enough. That will fill the Cal/Min ships?

Yes, this would fill the current faction hole in Minmatar/Caldari ships, and provide an interesting game play mechanic similar to carrier fighters.

Aside from the mjd on the battleship, they look like they play the same as every other kitey pirate line up.

I can see quite a bit of cross over with angels for example.

They seem to be missing a few slots too.

An interesting gimmick for a faction, Wulkans. I like the combination of projectile and missile alpha strike bonuses.
