Yes, those nerfs already happened. They’ve mentioned more “rebalancing” in the near future. Those changes are unclear for now.
Because I know they’re going to keep stripping caps of all their strength, I’ve decided to extract all my cap skills.
I think it’s unfortunate that they want to strip the achievement and associated power from years worth of training and saving isk.
Perhaps I came to eve too late to have such lofty goals as I’ve had, and mostly achieved.
Well they did that when they added injectors. If I wanted to, I could have the skills to fly a Super on this char right now, it would just cost a pretty penny. You seem to be frustrated that your Carrier isn’t as effective without proper support as you’ve complained about groups of Kikis/Stealth Bombers being able to kill a Carrier. I’ve always subscribed to the idea that a well fit group of Frigates (or other small ships for that matter) should be able to take down much larger ships that aren’t flown/fit properly.
My frustration comes from so few kiki’s and bombers being able to kill a ship much bigger, with much more defense.
It doesn’t make sense to me.
The size of the ship should afford it a lot more defensive systems. For example, you’d think the warp core would be properly shielded so it can establish warp, or jump, even if a frigate is trying to tackle it.
A bubble should be ineffective against carriers and above. Titans have a core strength of 100 but a single bubble can stop them.
I guess my point is, the smallest ships in the game should not so easily threaten the largest ships in the game.
I wouldn’t expect a hoverboard or moped to be able to disable or destroy a tank irl.
I wouldn’t expect a speed boat to disable or destroy a carrier irl.
For supercarriers and titans you need a bubble or heavy interdictor to stop them. Maybe you’re expecting too much from a normal carrier?
You do realize one of the main uses of a bubble is to keep Supers tackled. It has an infinite amount of points.
Probably.
To me, it makes sense that they would build the carriers and above to have shielding for those situations.
A bubble I can understand, but ships have limited tackle ability, an that should have been considered when the carriers were designed. After all, they were designed for war.
