So, Iâll concede this. You could do what youâre suggesting in all the frontline systems. Turn all the plexes in those systems to battlefield style complexes. This would require a bit of a revamp, but itâs not impossible.
And youâre not experienced enough to know the actual real behaviors of players to understand the consequences of your ideas.
Thereâs a lot of points made to debunk your idea and you saying âitâs not an argument against meâ only makes people realize how little youâre understanding of others.
The different size complexes are like arenas. You go inside a small NVY with a dessie and you can expect to be fighting a frigate or another dessie player. It works really well in my experience. But there could be benfits from changing it so that defending and capturing gives the same. This way the presence in frontline systems are more mixed. You could have farmers and hunters from both factions. Instead of the way it is not where for example a Frontline Caldari system only has Gallente farmers and Caldari Hunters pretty much. I dont know if it makes sense. And i dont know how much more i am willing to stick up for this idea. It will obviosuly never have any impact at all posting here. Its just a waste of time.
Itâs not for the farmers. I have heard complaints before about the payouts of battlefields, in that defensive battlefields paid out half the other offensive battlefields.
The front line systems are primarily for people who want to fight, so if you model all the plexes in those systems after the concepts displayed in the battlefield sites (ie: both faction npcâs are present, multiple flags to capture, lp paid out to more than one person,) and give equal pay to each faction, you could make the front lines a bit more exciting.
Sure but the way to make PvP increase is to get people who wouldnât normally PvP (ie farmers) to do so. The people who want to PvP are already finding fights readily enough.
If we gave Goonswarm more profit for activities in Delve, and we gave every other alliance not this boost. Then there would be the same amount of PVP compared to if everyone got the same pay for activities in that zone?
imo, battle fields were a way to do that. a bunch of people who normally wouldnât pvp would go into them and get involved a bit more. Granted, a lot of times theyâd just scatter when another group came in. But you canât really expect a bunch of frigates to fight a bc or cruiser fleet.
Your âPvP increaseâ is an opinion grounded in⌠your genuine belief.
My critique is grounded in experience flying in CalMil and spending a great deal of time third party pirating the warzone and figuring out how to kill bots and farmers including interacting with such individuals. And being a FW farming mission runner back in the day.
So with that in mind, would you care to actually address it now? Or is a third excuse necessary to try to wriggle out of it?
You are focusing on a specific way of doing FW and ignoring the other ways. For example your idea of this player you call a farmer that always stays out of trouble, yes this kind of player most likely exist, but what about literally every other player? What is the reason that plexes pay each faction differently? And just because you are âfarmerâ one day doesent mean you are the next. But lets get to the point: There isnt a good reason as far as i can tell and you havent provided one despite your many posts i this thread for why paying factions differently for completing the same plex.
Im going to chalk up your response to inexperience. You are asking questions about âkinds of playersâ that are readily apparent to anyone who has spent time in the game.
Go try to pick solo fights defending your plexes for 3 months and come back to this thread.
