So came back to Eve about a week ago and made a new character to get the feel of things. Once I got comfortable with the interface again, I ended up moving my production character to a new account, but in the process - lost a few billion in fully researched BPOs (Corp assets, forgot to look at those. There were other people in the now-dead corporation, but they haven’t logged on in years either). Luckily, I did have my Capital Shield Booster I Blueprint and EMP XL Blueprint in my personal assets.

Yea, this was a face palm moment as, well… I aggro’d the entire area and didn’t align myself, nor did I kill the frigates that were warp disrupting. Live and learn, right? So at this time, I didn’t have the ISK to outfit another CNR, so I went ahead and “downgraded” into a Legion. Covert Ops, with missiles AND drones?! That is basically my entire skillset (except for weapon disruptors - Pilgrim pilot and all).
I was getting used to using it seeing how it was not the best fit out there as, well, ISK was running VERY low while I have all of my capital BPOs in research (again). So on my alt, I started running mining missions since, well, he hasn’t really trained for combat, but I did have a Covetor on him.
Sweet! No real combat, just some frigs that are easily taken down by the Warrior II drones, plus I could run level 3 missions at the same time with the Legion. Win win!
Since, for some reason, I could do L4 mining missions, I started doing those and yada dada, mine mine, borrrring, but $2 mill a pop while I wait. Even brought Feng down there to run the hauler back and forth since it was more profitable. Then I got a storyline and… well, of course I accepted it!
Only, I didn’t expect a L4 mission from a level 2 agent, but… I wonder if the Legion could do it? I mean, in the first room, there were only a few cruise missile sentries, heavy missile sentries, normal sentries, some webifier sentries, and a couple of energy neut sentries - plus the battleships, battlecruisers, and a couple of frigs. No big deal, right?
Oh… kite away, its fine. Keep the directional scanner pinging (in LowSec - scan, result, scan, result, etc…). Few pings from some SOE core probes - those are only for scanning anomalies, right? Finally killed off the ships, now it was time for the sentries. Still nada from the DS… So, once I just got into range of the first group of sentries…
How TF did a Proteus find me? Target lock, unlock the sentries. Target paint, fire missiles, engage medium drones. We’re both being webbed and neutralized at this point, but… he’s not doing much damage and I can easily repair. He had some ECM drones, but my real damage isn’t from my missiles but from my drones. Seeing how I didn’t have a warp disruptor, I had to keep bumping… but sadly, he finally found an alignment just as I got him to 3/4 hull and he was able to warp out…
Aaaand… as I was pulling in my drones so I could follow; in comes two Stilettos, both warp disrupting me. But… they are being webbed as well. I might be able to do this. Bring in medium drones, send out Warrior II’s. Nice, first one close to reaching armor… Are you serious right now? A Brutix? After everything, I was nearing 1/4 of my armor left… and at this point, it was time to just give up as I had 0 capacitor, was being webbed, warp disrupted, AND was still being engaged by the NPC sentries.
