Fitting for Ishtar

Hi,
I wish to set up a Ishtar for level 2 missions, anyone can share a good fit?

Thanks!

Bit overkill for LVL2 isnt it when a Destroyer is quite capable…

If you have an ishtar and cant work out fit. Something is probable wrong. Especially when you want to do t2 missions with it.

Anyway, drones are my tip.

Thanks for your answers. Yes, I can easily accomplish level 2 missions with my Vexor. But when I tried to perform some mission from the level 2 Locator Agents I found some small difficulties. For this reason I thought of switching to an Ishtar. However, it is also true that a significant part of the game is knowing how to equip your ship instead of asking other players.

Ishtar for lvl2 missions? no no… Your vexor should be able to do lvl2 missions no problem. If you are having problems that probably means you need to slow down and train your core skills (look up “magic 14”) and drone skills more.

Link the current ship and fit you are using.

Here my Vexor fit, again, is about some difficults doing Locator Agents lvl 2, the “normal” security missions lvl 2 are not much of a problem.

Probably better off using rails and an afterburner and small drones for L2 missions as most of the npcs will be frigs. Carry mediums for occasions where you have several cruisers. If you can, swap the damage control and EANM2 for a Reactive armour hardener and add an extra drone damage amp. You do not really need those nano pumps for L2 missions but don’t waste them. Because you are using blasters you are receiving max possible damage as you have to get very close to hostiles. A passive fit should be fine for L2 missions in a Vexor. My rule is to keep away from ships smaller than yours (so they can’t reach you with damage) and close to things that are bigger (so they can’t track you). Reactive hardener is a great module if you can fit it as it adapts its resistances to match received damage types and profile.

Also you do know about drone link augmentors to increase your drone range - very useful for earlier engagement.

I suspect your issue is how you are flying. Use light drones for frigs, (and they will do well enough on cruisers as well). Use your transversal to reduce incoming damage by activating your prop mod and orbiting a wreck or object at 20K or so. Prioritise any rats that web and also any ecm, (that’s a good habit to get into).

Don’t bother with the guns really. I would also be tempted to drop the tracking link and add another cap battery - it should be cap stable with both ab and rep running. At that point it will be so boring that you will need a second screen to watch netflix on while you grind.

Thanks Chococat, I will follow your suggestion!

Thank you Tal, I’ll try to differentiate my fit a bit by following your suggestions.

Chococat,
I think you were right, I tried to pay more attention to the various types of enemy ships and behave accordingly, this allowed me to have almost no problem doing these missions too. Thanks again!
