It’s been a while since I’ve done a level 4 mission and I see that the Ishtar has been changed a bit since I saw it last. With the different slots and lower bonus for sentries it seems that a lot of guides and fits on the web have become somewhat dated. Does anyone have advice for fitting an Ishtar for level 4 missions? Sharing your fits would get you extra bonus awesome points.

I’m not too familiar with Armor Tank Drone Boats so I’m basically just tossing out some ideas…
Maybe replace one of the Medium Domination Armor Rep mods with a large one. Also maybe replace the other Medium Domination Rep mod for an Assault Damage Control mod to increase the ships Resistance stats.

First time I’ve heard of the Assault Damage Control and it looks awesome. Seems like it would be a good choice to replace one of the reppers, though I would probably upgrade the remaining one. Tradeoff is less tank for a very nice ‘oh ■■■■’ button and some extra power grid space to play with.

Well like I said, I’m not familiar with fitting Armor Tanks or piloting Gallente Drone Boats so I don’t know if my suggestions will even work.
Maybe a Large Ancillary Armor Repairer mod would work for upgrading the Medium Domination Armor Rep.
Anyway, hopefully somebody with Armor Tank and Drone Boat experience will post some helpful info. Good luck and welcome back to missions…

you can’t oversize the armor rep. That’s why double rep is the way to go.
my suggestion is : use the ishtar as a drone ship. The highs should only go to small short range turrets in order to shoot webifier drones and the likes.
pyfa tells me your railguns do… 150 DPS @10km with 15 tracking.
if I switch to light neutrons with null, I have 119 DPs@4km (which is worse) but a way better 256 tracking.
Going small arti makes 90 DPS @10km with 80 tracking.
Personally I would go with 50MN instead of 10MN for the fast movement.
if you don’t want to waste time switching your hardeners, go with RAH and faction multispectrum energized membrane. (the famous MEME)
I don’t think you need an omnidirectional. Maybe I’m wrong. Could be replaced with a webifiier ?
Don’t use ligh/medium drones. go full heavy. You will shoot the small fries yourself, and let your drones handle the big guys.

Yes, exactly. And make sure you have enough in reserve. Because only with one ship they will be shot away like nothing. 
Only if you build up a Cap/RR chain with another, or better with another two ships, the drones will be left alone. This is how it works in the missions and in the wormhole space.

Frankly I’ve stopped using Ishtar for lvl4 's , because of the drone aggro mechanics changes . Last time I used one , NPCs didn’t aggro drones and sentry drones were great , before Fozzie nerfed them into oblivion. You had no hassle then, just deploy sentry drones , orbit something and came back at the PC when the mission was done. Also Gila used to be able to use sentry drones and it worked the same.
Sentry drones had great tracking, range and DPS , I wasn’t against the nerf , but imo it was too brutal of a nerf.
It is still a great ship for nullsec anomalies and gurista/serpentis DED complexes , including 10/10 , just not so optimal for lvl4’s , I’ve found myself having to pull those heavy drones too often .
At present, I recommend you a torpedo platform for lvl4’s (Raven, Barghest, Golem).

ATS’s are there just so you’ll be able to lock more targets, you’ll never activate those . I preffer AB since you mitigate damage better , but you can swap it with a quad-lif MWD and just pulse it when needed -just be careful not to pulse it at the wrong moments-, that works well too . Additionally you can plug in a CPU implant and fit a tractor beam there too.
You will want to use Wasps against Gurista , Ogres actually applies less DPS to them in practice, they make sense against Serpentis, but not Guristas.
