O dear! I seem to have ruffled your feathers, Vladimierr.
Nothing I wrote, above, excludes the ‘factors’ you mention. Rather, it is our response to external ‘factors’ (events, etc.) which often determines what you understand by the term ‘success’.
I direct you to a poem by the eminent (though now sadly neglected) American poet, e e cummings. It’s called ‘nobody loses all the time’. Repeated ‘failure’ is always a possibility
I may - in this case - be an authoritarian, Vladimierr. That is because I claim the authority bestowed upon me by reflection, understanding and experience. And ganking.
You have no power at all, for you cannot even create something as small as a gnat.
So how about you take all that nonsense and run the rest of the 20k people off. Also you might need to clean that pool that gives you that reflection ( the information you’re digesting ).
That is your opinion, I am simply stating look at the numbers EVE-Offline :: EVE-Online Status monitor, you can correlate the decline in the numbers to changes made. Everyone responding seems okay with the fact the player base has gotten smaller, the corps have gotten bigger, and ships are more than twice as hard to build because of all the requirements. The fact that a super is 60bil instead of 15bil is a testament, the 60k to just over 20k is data. Have your own opinions that’s fine I’ll keep mine too. Thank you all except for a few of confirming what I already know, it’s hopeless.
I started playing in 2013. Now, that’s not a long time ago by the standards of some commentators here, but I can tell you that there seemed to be more players and far fewer multiboxers. So it may well be true that a head count would identify a decline in those numbers.
KEY: I don’t know and I don’t care.
You’ve yet to give me a convincing explanation of your worry about this decline. What is it that you - personally - fear about all this? If the game dies, so what? Will you go into a sympathetic and terminal downward spiral yourself?
Fixing mining is not what this thread is all about. It’s about greed, nostalgia and, ultimately, the frailty of those who dread the loss of something to which they are attached.
I find it bizarre, but I know it’s of real concern to others, so I ought to lighten up.
Funny how you can see so deeply in one area but not another. Its like life if you don’t care you cant see, so I care about it all so I can see it all, yes it’s exhausting and taxing but I like my sight to be as true as possible. It is about fixing it, it shouldn’t be such a task to make stuff, it’s that simple man if you can’t wrap your mind around that try the KISS method it works.
Keep coping all I can say. You just admitted deep down you have way too much sunk into EVE. You make this thread to bait us to coping with you but everyone here saw through that.
“Fixing” You want to fix EVE online like it’s your ex or something when In reality this is a huge multinational corporation that makes millions in profit. They don’t care about me or you. We are numbers to them on a spreadsheet.
See and it’s all about “profit” instead of the enjoyability of the game, simple as that, more people could do more things which made the game more enjoyable for everyone. They’ve stifled some play styles and now the game is less accessible to regular players. which in turn nets them “Profit” and the game will slowly eat itself till theres nothing left. Too bad humans just make the same mistakes over and over and over till they die.
Of course! I said CCP is a HUGE multinational corporation to give connotations that they care about profit lol. Thanks.
Go run your own ethical gaming studio then?
So cynical… Why be such a doomer? Be a half glass full person! Wake up feeling happy. Wake up wanting to accomplish stuff. I can’t wait till im done with college.
Oh, and I’m sorry that I feel like I have invested time and money into something and than I have the right and ability to say something. Reality is a ■■■■■ I just live here bud.
But you want all of us to go onboard with what you are saying here? That’s the key difference. Didn’t say you can’t voice your opinion. You want to aggressively push your POV to people who largely don’t really care on this platform.
That’s interesting, Vladimierr - but quite wrong. ‘Seeing’ is not a function of the emotions. Their province is ‘feeling’. So, if I shared those emotions which clearly move you, I’d no doubt feel as you do.
But even so, I’d run what I was feeling past my ability to reason before venturing to splurge my unfiltered sentiments onto the screens of the estimable (but random) individuals gracing this sub-forum today.
You could have saved yourself some wasteful to-and-fro, had you done the same.
OP comes in-----Makes wild statements with no substance behind it--------gets the people riled up------people disagree with OP-------OP continues to push their POV very aggressively-------OP runs away because noone believes OP on this platform.
OP will likely go be a doomer with other doomers elsewhere now probably reddit.
