The Beta star map has been in beta for a long time, and there are only a few things it doesn’t do that force people back to the old star map. It’s time to update this thing and give players a windowed star map that is fully functional.

How about we just retire the beta map and fix the old map? 
In contrast to the new map, the old map only needs the reaction index option added to the options list and it’s fixed. Fixing the beta map takes considerably more effort. Effort that CCP is not willing to invest.
They’re probably not interested in putting effort to anything relating to the map.
