I am “making it safe” through the forest with my alts for years now. It’s not a “one time you were lucky” thing. It is ONE example out of a series of hundreds or even thousands of safe travels. Just another one that clearly shows how ridiculous all that fearmongering is.
Not fitting purple on a Marauder in an environment where you absolutely don’t need to do so to solve the content efficiently is part of being smart. Thats why people are a 100% self-responsible if they are ganked. It is not a game problem, it’s a them problem. They make stupid decisions and face the consequences.
I am running Abyssals in multibillion ISK ships, for years. I am importing and exporting Citadels + Fits in DSTs and Orcas into WH space from and to Jita on a regular basis. Capitalparts and Blingfits. Nothing happens. I export Blueloot, Compressed Ores, PI Products, Reactionmats, Corploot and all the Abyssal Loot from all edges of HS to the tradehubs. Never got ganked ONCE. In more than a decade.
Stop painting ganking as a problem. It simply isn’t. You only need to use your brain and follow some simple rules and the gankers simply won’t touch you ever.
Bah. I go all over the place without being ganked. I sit right outside Jita without being ganked. I travell all the way from Jita to Amarr without being ganked. 100 jumps is nothing for me. I sometimes transport small but expensive items. In 4 years of this nobody has ganked me. My ships are either fast, tanky, cloaky, or all three.
Which has nothing to do with what I said in regard to multiboxers using them as gank tackle. I’m not talking about a standard fleet’s operations. I thought I made that clear when I said, “outside of a conventional battle”.
Again, you seem to miss the point. Multiboxers can use a bomber to guarantee a tackle and then decloak other ships or have them (thrasher, catalyst, talos, tornado, T3C, etc.) synchronized to come out of warp to do the kill. The bomber itself is just the initial tackle, not the main attack ship in this scenario.
We’re talking about catching smaller, faster, usually frigate sized targets in WH, null and low for sport. Like explorers and miners. No matter how attentive you are with dscan there is no counter to a bomber tackle. The limitations of human reflexes in addition to server tick make it virtually impossible to avoid getting caught if they have faction modules. Even with a “1 sec” align time. Only sheer incompetence on the part of the bomber piloting can save you.
Still would have been a sight to see, even though way before Princess was born @Uriel_the_Flame perhaps Uriel would understand the time era of long forgotten.
Is this the ‘there are no bot, its just prison labour being forced to play’ story that came out on reddit?
Glad for your contribution.
I am pretty sure CCP are taking a screenshot on module activation, that’s how they found out peopel were getting trig gas by running a salvager on an asteriod.
Rubbish. Not more than a few hours after this post I saw a bunch of Legion guys in perimeter flashing red like they just dunked someone.
No, its too formulaic. The ganker uses their scan alt to feed a ship cargo scan into a market tool, their software dings how many gank ships is needed and as long as the cost of ships is less than the %average return for the items dropped, the gank squad rolls in and it garunteed profit in the aggregate.
That completely ignores the ‘contested space’ stipulation.
Somewhere a proteus fit with smartbombs is laughing.
Probably someone too dumb to fit properly. Too dumb to not overbling his fit or cargo and too dumb to use either a scout or a supportfleet to transport something very valuable.
So thanks for proving my point. They kill the stupid and the lazy.
Then you better make sure you aren’t scanned. Or their formula says “not worth it”. Or don’t be on grid when they land. Or have support in the form of fleetboosters, jammers, remotereppers etc… that makes sure their “calculation” is wrong and they lose their gankfleet.
I find it interesting how you ignore the context as if you can save face through intellectual dishonesty. You spoke out of turn and were corrected. Why do you even reply further when you have nothing of substance to add? There is no participation trophy.
You would also die to a cloaked Interdictor waiting there that just decloaks, throws a bubble and bumps you with his MWD. Or a cloaky SB-Ship that decloaks and turns your little hacking frig into a wreck with the push of 7 buttons.
Whats your solution? Making those small frigs uncatchable? The WH hacking sites are so proftable, you can simply afford to lose a Magnate or even Anathema each day. Often you have more value than your ship is worth after one or two sites. Why not let those hunters also have their fun? If you megabling your CovOps with Zeugma Hacker and 2b Clone to maximize the output, well, a loss hurts. Do it cheaply and you simply don’t need to care for losses any more.
This also requires they are already there before you arrive as they can’t warp in completely undetected, which require preplanning. Which is my issue. There doesn’t even have to be forethought with a SB. Any ship can lie in wait, decloak before you fully come out of warp and be ready to lock before you can even issue a command. You can often avoid such warp-in traps by simply not warping in at zero. Or they just post up next to a node and wait for you to come right to them. A planned trap is a different scenario entirely to warping in undetected and waltzing right up to you impromptu. Even an Arazu can be avoided by a cautious pilot if it jumps in, but not a stealth bomber. Even in those planned traps you can possibly get away depending on fit of aggressor (some fit expecting MWDs and don’t fit to chase). Against a competent multi-boxer there is no counter play as it’s disruptor, faction scrambler and 2x webs. And the other ships will be on you in no time; likely covert ops fitted T3C’s already on grid.
Nope. Just remove the ability to instantly lock after decloaking. Can you give me any reason a bomber needs such a bonus?
