Uhm… no, it isn’t. They’re not harming anything. If you want to argue for change, you have to make a compelling argument for it.
“Whaaa, I’m a jealous infant and I don’t like it,” is not compelling.

Its interesting how there is such resistance to removing such an obvious useless item.
They should indeed.
Removing them is really easy
Buy one
Trash it
Solved
They still have value among collectors, which means they still have value. They just don’t have any particular use as a production item. If you don’t like them, buy them and trash them instead of crying that other people’s asset value should be deleted to salve your inferiority complex.
Actually you are wrong. Their value is directly connected to their potential profit, used or not.
That is why they had value in the first place.
T2 BPOs are a broken, never should have been put in the first place mechanic, and should be removed, because of the unfair competitive advantage they give to the owner.
That is why CCP wanted to remove them with Invention, but didn’t to give time for the then owners to mitigate their losses. CCP should remove them now.
I’m sure you imagine that to be true, and if you don’t bother (or, more likely, are incapable of) checking the math, it’s probably pretty easy to believe.
At no point did they ever indicate any intent or desire to remove the BPOs that had already been distributed.
Actually you are wrong. Their value is directly connected to the volume of salt spilled on the eve forum.
Be the change you wanna see. Buy all the bpos and trash them . Until them I will report all your post for “inappropriate crying”.
One rule of the eve forum : whining and begging are forbidden.
I would like to see someone pay 250b+ on a t2 bpo and tell me how much isk they’re printing. People buy them because they’re good hedges not because they magically make you rich.
if someone does have a gecko bpo than someone at CCP screw up, it would be the first time someone at ccp gave a group a lot of bpos.
That kind of rumor is invariably nonsense on account of the fact that it would be trivially found by a very simple select statement.
You see this rumor crop up from time to time for pirate cruisers and the like. Someone spots the suspect “BPO” in an old contract, but all that’s actually happening is that past a certain age, old contract history doesn’t preserve the details about the BPC that was originally contracted, and instead just displays the base invtype, which always appears as a BPO.
So it ends up looking like someone sold a Gila BPO, and then someone freaks out about it all over Reddit and never once notices/thinks critically about the fact that they sold this AMAZING ONE OF A KIND MONEY PRINTER for the exact same price a BPC would have fetched.
This is a bit misleading. I’d save 8million here. Or 15 million there by choosing PH instead of NPC?
Seems like if your competitive advantage is measured in the last %…you’ve already lost.
Players who seek that % advantage are dumb. And like ununionized workers you do yourself no favors.

Its probably not worth mentioning that those arent universal or accurate averages?
They are litterally universal exsact average over the last 3 months
Not that it means they are of any interest.
Except they dont actually reflect market VALUE, just the price tag placed.
Without actually taking into account the value it really sold for, so an item that has a but value of 0.1 or a sell price of 800,000,000 skews it.
Check out Guristas Data Sequences for example.
The opposite, AFAIK.
estimated(item)= total value for sale of the item / number of sales, over the last 3 months. In the whole universe, and including people who sold an item for 0.001 isk.
It cant be. Not unless people are buying an item worth 60000 for 8500000000.
And if thats the case then they cant be accurate anyway as it would be really easy using alts or friends to manipulate the price.
never ever ever trust the red & green percentages to buy or sell ANYTHING on the in game regional market interface. Do i use it to my advantage? hehe, sometimes when someone else puts the effort in for me. i will say no more about it.
As far as T2 bpos i get the feeling a few owners are in this thread posting for their own interests. so cute, but understandable.
So let’s summarize your point:
you “feel” T2 BPO are “broken” yet you don’t “own” one?
How would you know? You don’t own one. You know, they are for sale, all the time. Take you billions, go on a crusade and start trashing them.
Someone else’s work shouldn’t be diminished due to your petty envy.[quote=“Abruzzi_Oskold, post:189, topic:168519, full:true”]
