Fixing Market Monopoly

Ehh, you don’t have to own a BPO to have an opinion about them.

All of the relevant data is readily available. You can find out what they cost by reviewing trade forums or looking at public contract listings, and you can do the math on how much profit they’ll generate.

Trouble is, once you’ve done all of the math, they’re pretty clearly one of the worst investments in the game, and the only real value to be had is in flipping them at a higher price. You can do almost anything else with that quantity of money and get a better return.

There’s like one practical usecase for T2 BPO’s and it’s basically, “I have so much money that I’ve run out of other places to invest it so, ■■■■ it, I guess I’ll buy one of these and manufacture for a ~1% per month return on my money. Hope it’s worth more when I go to resell it.”

My bigger point is that unless you own one, you have no clue “what the potential” is.

Oh sure, if you don’t own one, you can have an opinion about them, but that opinion is pretty worthless, as it’s not based in any facts.

And no, why should any of us that have T2 BPO that worked for them be willing to just “give them away” with no compensation? If CCP wants to send me a huge pile of isk in exchange for making a rare game object, not rare, then I’m willing to entertain the idea.

No, you don’t need to own one for that.

Your opinion does speak for itself though.

Exactly, because you have zero idea if you don’t own one, or never worked to get it.

Jealous much? Yup. Yup you are.
