Fixing the Triglavian Babaroga

tbh I do, but that is on my t6 abyss gila, safely running the site somewhere in a wormhole. for normal ratting or so I agree that just enough is the best. The blinged fits I posted above is for local defense at a null sec alliance’s capital, so usually there is a lot of people to support the marauders in fleet

But why use local tank in that scenario? You will have FAX’ when defending your home? Pimp them to max-buffer, let them spool up while under insane RR and then all enter a quick bastion cylce instantly doubling the already max-spooled damage while sitting on a full 600k ehp that the opponent would need to remove within one minute, else the FAX will again catch you.

No matter what activetank you put on these, any competent attackers fleet will just punch through with sheer alpha before your reppers can even cycle.

Well I mean inside ESS, but this is for sure an interesting strategy to try out. And in ESS maybe I can try other logi ships or so.

The Babaroga should really have one more utility high. All the other Marauders have at least one more slot than the navy or T1 equivalent.

  • Kronos: 7h, 5m, 7l = 19
  • Paladin: 8h, 4m, 7l = 19
  • Golem: 8h, 7m, 4l = 19
  • Vargur: 7h, 6m, 6l = 19
  • Babaroga: 5h, 4m, 8l = 17

And yes, I know the Babaroga only has one turret (see the last line in the preceding paragraph).

that’s fine, even with another utility high the resources is not that sufficient for another neut or smartbomb i guess.

The Baraboga has 3 free Utility Highs, just like Pala or Golem. Thats already 1 more than Kronos or Vargur. And the Baraboga even has the Triglavian Boni on Neuts, RR and Smartbombs.

How good you want the ship to be?

I run 4x shaks, 1x Nestor and an Eos.
The shaks and Nestor run a one up, one down cap chain.
Shaks rep Nestor, Nestor reps shaks.
Setting up the cap chain and assigning drones to the Eos can be a little annoying at the start of the site.
It works. Maybe not the fastest method, but I’ve never lost more than one ship on a roll-in.
I’ve had corpmates lose all their marauders on a roll-in of they’ve just cycled back into bastion.

But yeah, with 6 accs I would probably just use 1 Eos and 5 Ishtars and let the ships do the site all on their own ^^
