For The old Guys Out there, I mean toons over 10 years old

So it IS envy. Noted.

So, let’s get this straight: you decided to create a multi-million-dollar tax burden for your country, and are blaming it on a video game no one forced you to play? Does that about sum it up?

I think I repaid my dues many times to my country. What ? You want to pull me back in my busted car? That’s the only thing you came up with?

a) And I am taking screenshot of this thread because it only proves that this game brings the worse out of people.

b) Of all the people I’ve crossed since 2007 and know what happened that night this is the most callous thing someone has said to me. Congratulation you are the worse out there so far.

c) Thank you for your sudden generosity and kindness of your heart I just remembered something else
So I guess it’s fantastic idea to send my back in busted car after all

I don’t want anything from you. I’m just wondering where you get off blaming a video game for the terrible decision(s) you made.

Blaming a competitive game because you suffered a depressive episode after being subject to some kind of loss within it makes about as much sense as blaming the theme park after you get a heart attack while choosing to ride a roller coaster despite having a heart condition, or having a psychotic episode and blaming your dog for telling you to sacrifice your neighbor to Satan after deciding you don’t need to take your pills anymore.

Whatever trauma you had, while sad, doesn’t excuse you from taking responsibility for your decisions. Other people aren’t obligated to patronize you by holding your hand and agreeing with you just because you went through this sort of life event.

And what do you think that’s going to accomplish? You’re literally blaming the devs of this game for your suicide attempt. I’d be surprised if you don’t get permanently banned after this.

I mean this would be the cherry on top right. After telling my story publicly being kicked out like a piece of thrash. Sublime thinking. And the worse part of this it might actually append and very soon. And I told you already the whole story is being actualized in my mind as I am playing Eve. I guess being kicked out will be the end of this part of my journey when it comes to this game and me. As I mentioned before you have said the most callous things I’ve ever heard by far. And you are not a psychiatrist to tell me exactly what I am supposed to have been through or why. And yes you like it or not this sad game filled with sad sacs was the beginning of my ordeal. A game should be fun to play but not this game. It isn’t fun at all because it’s filled with sad sacs who are just plain callous. Definitely this game brings out the worse side of humanity. And you prove it abundantly. The game mechanics does the rest.

And you are just saying the worse things one can imagine because you are totally addicted to this game. So it’s a tell a tale about you not me.

No one’s “kicking you out like a piece of trash.” This isn’t a hate crime in progress; you’re acting like a massive liability for the company, and it makes complete sense to de-platform you in their community, and refer your case to legal in case you decide to go any further than forum shiptoasting. It’s a perfectly rational response.

Then why did/do you play it? The very first time you went out to mine in low-sec and some pirate ransomed your raggedy sloop for five million ISK or whatever, and you thought “wow, I really hate this,” you should’ve closed the game, uninstalled, and forgotten about it.

People enjoy different things, and like different games for different reasons. The first time I got blown up like a week into playing, I thought “coooool, I can’t wait until I get a Brutix, I’d love to see them try that again when I do!” If your response to a similar stimulus (I don’t know what it was, but I can imagine) was to monologue to yourself about how the game isn’t fun because it’s “filled with sad sacs,” that was a clear sign that you should’ve stopped playing EVE and looked for a different game that you’d actually enjoy.

No I didn’t, and no I’m not.

You simply have a massive entitlement complex, and believe that people are obligated to agree with you because you went through this horrible trauma.

But adverse life events don’t actually excuse you from being wrong, and if you put your story out there on a public forum, it’s very likely that there will be disagreement from others. If you can’t deal with said disagreement, then don’t post your story on a platform like this. Share it with a psychiatrist instead. Trying to pass off disagreement as a personal attack aimed at you is only going to foster even further disagreement with the things you say by even more people.

Wow, @Rosa_KillRatio
I don’t think I’ve seen anyone blame EvE that much
actually
sort of impressive in a way

It’s not EvE’s fault, friend. Sorry you’ve gone through some rough stuff
but EvE isn’t to blame.

Kudos to you for making more than good progress. I would suggest you just forget about EvE and continue working for/on yourself as you have been.

All the best to you going forward.

I thing CCP seems to have found the right path again, at least we are again heading into the right direction with recent changes and the big galaxy spanning stories we have seen over the last years.

While I can understand that CCP is trying to diversify their portfolio I am always surprised that they always seem to fail on that in the past, and from my observation one core reason for failure is always to bet on one technological niche, which results in having not enough customer for their new thing.

So having said this, I really hope that CCP understand at some point that support of Linux (at least via Steam) is not just a cost factor but also a way to lower its dependency from costly Microsoft licenses and broaden the target customer base and stay competitive for the future. New products should be not provided to niche platforms only, but should always include mainstream also, which currently are Windows (sadly), MacOS and Steam (for Linux).

I was searching for a piece of music “de consistance” and I finally found it.

Just watch me. And to my detractors I will just say this. What does not kill you only makes stronger. And what l have learned through all this is that life is not about the fear of death but the will to live and just carry on what ever punches life throws at you.

If EvE Online is so evil and terrible

why are you here?

Naaaa Aiko you should start looking at the really sick stuff you do in this game. First asking your “simps” (that would be your corp mates by the way) to worship you as some sort of worshipfullness is a serious joke. But that is not really enough since you ask your corp mates
sorry your “simps” to pay 1 - 2 - 3 billion isk for you to allow them to mine in high sec and if they don’t pay you kill pod them

I’d kiss a baboon before bending down to your pure filth you so desperately poor copiously in this game.

Yeah!!! Eve so evil and terrible. You define the genre. In the Merriam-Webster there is the pic of your character beside the definition of those two words.

I have to pay rent and buy groceries.

I’ve already told you exactly what you needed to hear in your pub chat the other day. You are a sham and a disgrace. What kind of groceries you purchase your highworshipness? You feed on caviar and champagne while other dig for ya. Poor bastards I pity them. And by the way, while I was in your pub chat throwing one insanity after the other I was crying of laughter over my keyboard. I’ve never seen someone so pathetic in this game since 2004. And I’ve seen my fair share of finished morons but you pulverise the records to all new heights by far.

What you do is called “taxing players”. You are the head of a scam of the worse kind.

Oh, no, I don’t purchase them. I send gregory to Whole Foods. I call him greg the egg, haha, because he does all the shopping so I can focus on EvE Online, a good wholesome game and fun for the whole family.

Speaking of which, it says here that you still owe 1 billion isk.

Well that is really something else. This is what I was saying all along in your pub chat your worshipfullness
Thinking about it I’d kiss a wookie before giving you 1 isk.

What TV show is that?

The doc is incomplete. You don’t mention what happened to you in Eve. That is the most important part.

Victim_EVE

Hello, hopefully you’re feeling better after you got some things off your chest there. It is admirable that you’ve managed to accomplish so much after what should have been a debilitating series of injuries, and I hope things continue to improve for you.

Just wanted you to know I have flagged your post for moderator attention because I believe you’ve taken actions you may come to regret. To wit, posting a lot of personal information and history in a forum where that is unwise. Mentioning it here so you don’t think it was done by someone with bad intent.

As to your specific concerns, it seems more that elements of your life and psychological state were in a downward spiral, and you just happened to be playing EVE when the psychotic break occurred. You’ve made no case whatsoever that EVE was a significant contributor to your condition; you’ve only conflated cause and correlation.

I note that EVE is one of the few games still available where the chance of risk and “significant loss” are still a primary element of the game, and I would recommend that for someone having personal psychological issues that are trending downwards, that is most likely a bad combination.

If I had to guess, I’d say that certain issues were going badly for you back then, and you tried to retreat into a fantasy world where “things were better”. It seems likely that the true source of your anger isn’t because “EVE broke you”, it’s because the fantasy you retreated into failed to “fix” you.

EVE is a game of ruthless competition and conflict, with “winner take all” as a core principle. Yes that means some people play in a toxic manner - but then, I’ve yet to play an MMO in the past 25 years that didn’t have a toxic portion of their community.

It may be useful in some way for you to trigger or re-stimulate “EVE memories” by returning to the game, but if I was your psych I’d be far more concerned that you’re either returning to a previously unhealthy behavior cycle, or that you’re seeking to scapegoat other personal issues onto EVE rather than face their true source.

Please consult your health professionals with regards to your letter, your “war”, and your participation in the game again.

All that said, I’d like to leave you with two “black humor” moments that will hopefully give you a chuckle. If they don’t, seek help immediately!

First, you should thank CCP and EVE for giving you the opportunity for unlimited intellectual and mental growth. Why? “Because there’s always room for more Jello!”

Second, you really ought to review the mechanics behind “suicide ganking”. I think you may have gotten the wrong impression somewhere.

If CCP were to expand the server size and detach from the mentality of Eve being a niche game, which the originating country side is no longer a niche, just check the home address CCP to find the hidden brandmark, then CCP will have more players wanting to join.

I have played Trek Online, which is based more on planetary and storyline content then personal content, which is okay. But the nomadic space roam of Eve Online is more along the lines of Homeworld which is RTS. Both have their perks but are geared around a storyline that is not created by the player.

With content creators being the next node of online interaction, creating personal content that is linked to a Twitch account ot even a live streaming service offered by CCP, to host your content would set Eve Online so far up on the terrace, no one would dare try to stop Eve Online.

But in order for Eve Online to become the Collosus EO was meant to become, CCP must branch out from being a niche environment a expand into the world of becoming the first Massive Multie Content Creation Platform (MMCCP) on Earth.

To do so, CCP will have to introduce access to all countries on Earth without political barriers being present where new solar systems opened up would represent nations on Earth.
