So FAXes are op in the subcap field…easy fix. Do like you’ve done to EVERY SINGLE OTHER CAP and make it so they can’t do ■■■■ to subcaps, except give/take capacitor or other ewar. Titans used to be overpowered against subcaps, because doomsday was aoe, now it can’t reliably be used on anything smaller than a capital…Dreads, hard time hitting anything smaller than a battleship…etc

This is a false argument. The same type that led to healer changes in WoW that were ultimately reversed. To take an example from that game, you could have a healer who could outheal the damage of 4-5 people easily. Those 4-5 people could also instantly kill the healer if they used their non-damage abilities with any modicum of intelligence.

This is just proof that listening to the CSM is a terrible idea, especially when u have one coalition able to vote in what 59% of the csm without blinking, I really hope you do not make these changes, for the smaller groups this will be unfair when trying to fight bigger numbers. And for the bigger groups it will just mean dropping more faxs. You will solve nothing other than hindering the smaller groups from being able to take fights. Classic CCP listening to the CSM when you have people like The Judge on the CSM, he is not healthy for the game and neither is this decision. But then again I guess we are the idiots (or goons) who voted them onto the CSM.
The keepstar lock range still failed to be meaningful when the fleet sets up properly unless the KS has target range mods.

it would be better to make faxes more micro managed to make it so that a pilot who was flying another ship must switch and it must be difficult enough they cannot just pilot 2 or bring more chars
i would think changing the way reps work so they have to be activated each time on a target (or self) , not just left running. more stuff for triage to do and is not a instant +1 response to the issue
the idea is that people would have dedicate them self to bringing 1 triage account at the detriment to being able to field other ships. putting more emphasis on the pilot being the heart of the triage and them making it into an unstoppable force as opposed to just being hit with a nerf hammer that hurts smaller groups. (yes this will likely hurt smaller groups but i feel it would be an interesting solution)

Local Rep Faxes was not the issue. Remote Rep strength and ridiculous buffer was. The local rep nerf is only going to hurt the smaller entities, while the giant blobs remain pretty fuckin’ untouched and remains as cancer as ever.
You seriously need to think further ahead than your damn noses, CCP. Do you not even play the game anymore? Is the Donut the only thing you’re willing to balance for? Christ.
Active tanked fax isn’t the real issue. You don’t even pay attention to what people complain about…The remote rep penalty is good, but this literally is going to just mean “TRAIN MORE FAX PILOTS.” And not fix anything.
Currently it takes an average of 3x Dreads to break the reps of a single passive FAX. Meaning (take a look at us in delve) that dreadbombs are basically worthless if the defender has any menial FAX gang behind them (also reference how PL lost an entire dread fleet to INIT and hardly killed a thing, or how the Imperium lost hundreds of caps but couldn’t kill KillahBee’s Vanquisher during the Hakonen war).
What you should really look at is removing the ewar protection, the reduced remote repairs (something like 1 fax = 1…1.5 dreads of DPS) and decreasing their EHP further. The biggest problem currently is the only counter to FAX’s is N+1 in a scale so stupid it doesn’t even make sense.
Translation: We need to field 58% more FAX. We can do that. Most of our enemies can’t, but we can.
Maybe if the dreads have T2 guns and perfect skills vs a cheap fit FAX. Versus a properly fit FAX that uses drugs and heat you need more like 10 T1 dreads to break them quickly. But the answer to the dread vs local rep fax problem is to buff dread damage. Dreads have almost completely lost their siege niche and need some reason to see use outside ganking when large capital fights occur at distances of hundreds of kilometers.
