Friday is a day to be naughty

Unity Engine is HOT GARBAGE.

Glad we understand each other. :wink:

Eve Oneline would require the same concepts as UE to be playable on a mobile device like normal.

Good morning! I’m feeling frisky today.

Autopilot or bust.

And closed thread.

But not, I came today to talk about HLODs.

What’s HLOD right? Yeah that’s a good question, unfortunately I didn’t ask before toying with it and waiting 1h to build it and my computer barely working properly eating so much RAM…

Sometimes, ask first what’s HLOD before changing the cell values thinking you already know what you doing.

After learning what it is, I decided I don’t need it, now my map builds in 1 min.

Naughty stuff, damn Friday, by coincidence!

My naughtiest idea to date, gotta say, seems like the best EVE expansion:

  • Asteroids disappeared from high sec;
    • Base asteroids can be found in LS, NS and Unknown Space;
    • Some asteroids can only be found either in NS or LS;
  • The FW theater improved, no more sites, just kill the enemy anywhere;
    • Always flagged for being attacked by opposition;
    • Killing the enemy gives ranking points, official ladder and rewards, just like (for comparison) arena pvp (access to special modules / ships, but by rank not tags);
      • Tags are removed, your kills are tracked by the game, no buying your way around;
      • Cowards won’t die, but also won’t access any special pvp goodies;
      • Rank resets after X period, so one cannot just sit on his rank;
  • Criminals cannot dock in high sec stations;
  • CONCORD is tired of HS terrorism, criminals will be summarily executed, just like trigayvians do to normal capsuleers, when status is bellow -8.0;
    • Yet somehow CONCORD will allow them thru gates, like they always do, this ain’t minority report you know;

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

That would mean no ganking in highsec, but also no mining in highsec.
Miners would have to fight through other players to get to their ore and will most likely be killed doing it. So what is gained in the end?

Today it is a very controlled risk, manageable plainly through knowledge…in the future it would be totally uncontrollable and not for the casual industry gamer at all.

And if no mining in highsec, then what justification does highsec still have? Why is it then not all turned into lowsec?

Also i am sure you somehow forgot mission runners…for sure mission running should also move out of highsec together with mining…

That was me exercising negotiation, the real idea (mining upgrade) will be posted on a future Friday.

It’s a waaaay better idea.
