Yes you need to invest either time or money in order to get the account to 5.5 Mill. After that point it is free. Skill extraction pretty much covers the cost of maintaining the account as omega, anything else you do is profit. So once you have a few accounts at that point you can easily add more with the profits of the first ones.
Just as a wild guess, it seems they are not able in finding a solution to make roid belt respawn random during the day and not condensed on downtime. thus it seems they are aiming towards mining anomalies where it might be handy to “kill” roids fast containing unwanted ores/gas/ice to shut down that anomaly in an attempt to make it respawn.
This on the other hand would enable them to populate them not only with either ore, gas or ice but with a mixture of all wich would make the addition of triple-holds slightly more understandable.
IDK about that one chief. PLEX (500) is 1.5bil + the skill extractor 340mil (1.8bil) and the large skill injector (x1) sells for 680mil. I’m not very good at math but that seems like it won’t cut it.
Unless he does a rotation of Spod Brainlet001-050 accumulate the monthly 150k sp for 3-6 months
buys the skill extractors x25 (8.5bil)
sells the 25x large skill injectors (17bil)
plex his 25 accounts (37.5bil)
ah no see we still won’t cut it. and the hassle of doing that. Geez Louise.
Better would be 100% chance of equal yield destruction of bonus resources for T1 (same as it was before current complete removal)
67% for T2, but that reduced be 10% with T1 crystal and 15% with t2 crystal.
ORE stays as is with no waste.
And for each level of mining and specialization decreases resource destruction by 1.5%. This will help maintain investment into T2 while giving newbies a reason to skill up.
It’s been that way since announcement, with only the type c crystals being different with reduced yield and waste equal to base yield plus all bonus modified by crystal to x18 of that being destroyed.
So currently;
T1 & ORE zero destruction.
T2 1 in 3 chance of resource destruction plus any crystal modification
Who in the world would waste time to clear a roid anom for someone else? Right now if you are forced to mine Dark Ochre you at least get minerals to crash the market prices, but with the C-Type, you get almost nothing for wasting your time.
You can do that to 30 rorquals. How many rorquals where on grid there? Noone has 30 Retrievers and no command ship, plus one of the gankers was in a pod, which means he lost his ship to something , which is not on the battlereport. How many others where there that aren’t on the report (because they’re not registered to zkill)?
30 Rorquals aren’t a nightmare for panfam, who ganked those goons. It’s their wet dream. Finally something they can form a supercap fleet on, and people will join. Not just some boring structure bash that is not attended by anyone who can think out an excuse
How do you want to destroy 30 rorquals with 5 bombers?
covops cyno
That’s not 5 bombers. How do you want to destroy 30 rorquals with 5 bombers.
Alright then, Remove all combat capabilities from command battlecruisers, Command destroyers, Carriers. These are command ships? That should be there only role… Right?
More likely, and a better idea would be to increase the combat capabilities of the rorqual and the orca, while decreasing their solo mining capabilities.
why limit it to 5? there was more on grid then there’s on the report. obvious by one of the panfam capsuleers being a pod
and give them 5 turrets hardpoint so they can fit strip miners and self boost themselves
they can’t sustain the capacitor pressure caused by strip miners, unless you considerably buff the capacitor / regeneration rate of an orca / rorqual. But if you do that, it can just fit multiple shield boosters instead, which it isn’t supposed to.
A useless super was on grid: Manticore | somnolence | Killmail | zKillboard - So, how do you want to destroy 30 Rorquals with those 5 bombers under useless protection?
It is limited to 5 because that battle report was created with only 5 bombers attacking the swarm of ships. Just answer the question and stop shifting goalposts.
This!
‘Compact’ in EVE suggests it’s a meta module with lower fitting requirements.
The compact industrial core is definitely not a meta version of the industrial core.
Drop bombs, launch torpedoes?
Passive Rorqual Regeneration of crabs is neglectible, unless the player returns from afk within a few minutes, not much of the first rorq will be left. And after some more minutes, the second rorq, and so on.
And if he had not been afk, the bombers had not been able to clap his retrievers, either.
Seriously, you under estimate Eve players.
I know a couple of people with 100+ accounts ALL Omega, Skill Extractors createda whole new meta and there’s lots of players out there profiting from it.
Done right you can plex the SP making account and still make a nice profit.
wait, are they going to keep the right klick system now or are the Devs still trying to figure out how to bastardise the ammo system to make compressing ore into an “interesting” task?
I don’t know their code but it doesn’t sound like something that should be complicated to add new resource types to and a condition to only work when a certain module is fittet.
You want people to use that and move their ore and trade it - you better scrap compression waste and time sink.
The mere fact of 20 different modules to compress different materials is already stretching into tedious territory.
The current system allows Barge miners to compress their stuff themselves and take it back right away without getting things mixed up.
If CCP change that the Rorq pilot would have to:
- move every little pile around manually,
- compress it manually,
- hand it back to the correct pilot manually
- while keeping track of 15 other friends ores?
- while spending fuel and boost charges
and all that while making the barest amount of money for themselves?
I’ve spent maybe 10 hours mining in the 5 years i’ve played EVE but even i can figure out that compression almost cannot be changed at all if CCP really wants to promote mining communitys over solo mining.
Guess CCP should hire me?
A Hulk doesn’t cost anything to run so it will be more profitable then the Rorqual AND waste less rock.
It’s also two orders of magnitude cheaper then the Rorqual.
Can CCPLEASE get it into their heads that people WANT to have a reason to fly these ships
and that people WANT to have big boats to shoot at?
If just this final Rorqual yield reduction didn’t happen it would be 25% stronger then the Hulk but still more wasteful - “opressing” Barges is a strawman argument at this point.
Sounds more like a reasonable reward for reaching a “long term goal” and “end game content”.
CCP how do you even manage to pee off a PVP guy like me with MINING CHANGES?
This is ridiculous tbf.
What is the reasoning/lore behind the fact that compressed ores take up less space than the minerals?
I mean shouldn’t it be the other way around?
You take the raw ores which have a huge % of waste materials, that are not needed for production.
Then you reprocess them and get the raw minerals which should take up a much smaller space.
AND THEN
you can compress the minerals.
Wouldn’t it be cool, if the Orca and the Rorqual could reprocess and compress in space? (But you had to turn bastion mode on or something) and if you reprocess and compress in station you obviously have to transport the ores to the station and you have some sort of waste?
It is like a fishing boat which catches, guts, cleans, cuts and freezes the fish on the boat itself. Compared to a fishing boat which catches the fish and transports it back to the shore for processing.
