From Extraction To Production: Update

Right. Now it’s worth replacing all of the exhumers in a fleet with orcas.

Leave each drone from each orca on a totally rock, and go to sleep. Come back in the morning and drop off your ore, then find a new belt and leave them there with the same ‘1 rock per drone’ setup all day.

Let your miners do that while your real account does what you enjoy.

Yo this is pretty cool now. This actually feels like the age of prosperity. That new Hulk is lit.

If it where a trade off to end the crap scarcity in Null id say ya let do it to the rorq and the orca. there wasnt much complaining back then.

You mean the “Give us a choise” and not jsut use the “Best ship” andtheres no point using anything but Hulks

Can someone explain the Industrial Core “Ice Mining Yield New: -85%” that’s not a trait… So I can only assume that’s the Ice Mining Speed which would be a buff to current value of 80%

thats the indy core ice harvesting speed im assuming. for the module itself when its activated. gotta be a typo

now that i have a rational understanding of what CCP did to the expedition frigs, they arent THAT bad
they took away the yield bonus but gave it them a duration bonus
which amounts to a similar m3/s
although they did butcher the ice times

@CCP_Psych The Orca fuel bay is too small! 562.5 units of heavy water every 5 minutes and fuel bay of 5,000 units is only 45 minutes of mining. Before you guys touched the Orca it took 3.5 hours to fill an Orca up 100% solo mining. If you use a single alt in coveter it was 75-85 minutes with perfect boosts and alt max skilled. If you use a procurer it was 90-120 minutes.

Do you see an issue with the size of the fuel bay?! So either decrease the heavy water used per cycle or increase the fuel bay a TON!

The gas and ice holds need to be 187,500 m3 each like the Ore hold is with max skills.

Can I put ice/gas in the fleet hanger and standard cargo hold still?
Why does the Orca not transform when the Indy Core is active?

I can agree to that!!

now your just being nit picky. ice hold is fine as is. besides it also doesnt need the extra 500 m3 that that ice cant fill up.

theyd have to rework the visuals of the orca to make it transform. im sure they can better spend there time developing other things.
all it needs is a skill reducing its usage. the regular indy core get the indy reconfig, but the compact isnt affected by that i think

So what I’m saying is that you’re dumbstuck in your narrative and can’t see the point.

If Orca was the best, we’d see Orca fleets instead of exhumer fleets.
But it’s exhumer fleets, where, at certain fleet size, adding one Orca would outweigh adding another exhumer.
That point just shifted into “holy ■■■■ just add a freighter instead of Orca”.

Look if I am going to burn heavy water every cycle of that dumb core, I want to be able to shove as much ice into it as I can! I am not going to run a compression module on it for nothing in world.

I am an end game miner for high sec and we have been getting screwed for 2.5 years. So ya I am going to voice my opinion. As far as I am concerned CCP has not done anything right in 3 to 4 years!

Do you not know what you are talking about?! A Orca is a CAPITAL CLASS ship!

Assuming hisec, because you won’t sleep with Orcas on belt anywhere else.
Also assuming 0.9 or 1.0 because rats will get your mining drones in 0.8 and below.
Maximum rock in 0.9 is like 6000m3. You’ll get 30k m3 of Veldspar in the morning.
Congrats, you made 5 mil ISK per Orca. 400 mornings to go before profitability on your investment.

ED: also not much changes for this setup. Since your night Orca doesn’t move, all you need is an indy core, and put enough fuel to finish the rocks you targeted into the fuel bay. So this setup is largely unaffected.

Not an Aussie are you Mike, “Slag” is a very derogitive term here, used to describe a cetain type of woman. You would likely get :rage: this look and :dagger: :dagger: thrown at you using that word in certain places.

Just a heads up in case you’re ever lucky enough to visit down under :smirk:

Thank you @CCP_Psych and team. Really appreciated. My little personnal concerns were mainly about the waste, especially the “waste-first” mechanic on smaller rocks and mining missions. Please, don’t forget that the T2 modules waste probability still requires that you increase the mining missions ore quantity by a safe margin to factor in bad luck with the RNG.

Thanks for the Kryos.

Hopefully, the Procurer and Skiff will get an actual buff to their ehp, not a nerf. Especially as their weight is doubled. Keep in mind that the volume of these ships are smaller than the other ones (100000m3 for the Procurer, 150k for the Retriever and 200k m3 for the Covetor (similar with the T2 variants)) That extra weight on a smaller frame has to be explained by a more robust armor/structure, which is absolutely not reflected by the current proposed nerf on structure and armor…

If you want to go ahead with the nerf of the Procurer and Skiff ehp, at least bring back their weight, align time and velocity to their current values on TQ.

Thanks,

Changes I guess are looking better but, would it make more sense to have the waste on T1 modules since they are less reliant than T2 in technicality? That way it gives the new players something to train for…something to look for, and T2 being the ultimate goal with 0 waste since you still want to have that waste useless mechanic.

And not it is only 25 minutes in the field before it has to be re-fueled. What good is that?

Thank you for listening to us. Some changes definitely were needed, but we had felt you were changing in a totally wrong direction. With this new plan, you’re giving us a good mix of both benefits and changes, including increasing EHP of barges over time.

This is a lot of what we were hoping for, and makes the changes that are still happening easier to understand, easier to justify, and most importantly easier to see as more than a push toward heavily increasing real-money sinks. I can’t speak for everyone, but I can say for myself, this is an acceptable set of changes.

Please do not nerf the procurer by taking away 2 mids and adding a low. I have been flying this ship as a pvp boat for over 4 years. I climbed to the top of zkill using the proc as a solo and bait ship. it would be a shame for any changes made to this ship. you dont know my character but Im sure over half of the eve universe does. Grace Genisis or as my corp mates named her Proc Lord. I love the style of game play using a battle proc especially since I found the perfect fit for this ship. I know you never intended on it being a pvp boat but in the right hands it excels at it! taking away the 2 mids will be the end of the battle proc. 2 small neuts, dual t2 webs t2 scram, damage control, drone damage amp and 3 med transverse bulkhead rigs. this ship is an absolute beast in this config plus its cap stable with all mods running. Please leave it alone!! Procurer | Topalltime | Ship | zKillboard
