From Extraction to Production - will it make me return to Eve?

Please don’t comment on my thread. You’re not welcome.

I think all the changes add ‘content’, but if you take a step back and look at it, it turns out to be just content for content’s sake, which does nothing to improve the game, or add longevity for players who have spent years doing the same thing in the game and hoping for improvements. Perhaps new players will immerse themselves in all this.

I definitely won’t be returning.

Based on the majority of the comments, thats not what players really want. They want to continue doing the same thing they have done for years without any changes.

  1. They’re getting rid of all mining drone bonuses, thus making them useless in the fact that there will be no difference in drone mining yield if you fly any type of mining ship vs. any other ship.

  2. Unless you are running 1 billion isk worth of faction mining lasers (as of today), you will experience between a 34% to a 50% drop in mining yield per cycle.

Overall, this is a huge mining nerf which will cause prices to rise even higher.

Not true. Industrialists have longed for changes.

And do you know how long it took me to get from level 4 - 5 mining drone skill? I read something about a return of skill points, does it include these? Or will it still take equally long to get the crappy mining drone bonus after the nerf?

Higher prices means better pay per yield of the miners even though their yield is less.

No where in your OP or follow up rants are industrialists mentioned… i just see complaints about the mining changes. Way to move the goal posts.

Dogs rant. I don’t.

This isn’t a public thread. It’s invitation only. Bye.

You telling me you haven’t noticed any new combat ships in the past 3/4 years?

Dude…

It actually won’t.

If the price of a single unit is tritanium is 4.00 isk now, then after the change it will be 8 isk. This is so that the ISK/hour remains the same.

Yea, I hear you. I skilled up in a Porpoise precisely due to the size of the ore hold, tank, and mineable “area” since I use it to run level 4 mining missions. After this change, well, I’ll no longer run those missions and probably attempt to sell off the Porpoise and mining drones to recover my loss.

Feel free to take it up with ISD.

The value of a miners time will change very little, and the changes proposed don’t nerf mining yield but buff it via the new orca ind core.

Way to avoid the question.

We’re talking about “new mining ships for industrialists”…

If you’re being serious, then I’m listening.
If your just trolling, then just say so.

There are people who might say in your particular case “I hope not”.

Looks like some cheap orcas are incoming. Good.

Except most miners don’t fleet mine

If this is true, then I have a question:

how much buff/improvement will the new industrial core provide to boosted barges?
