Cause we’re friends and i want to play with you but i can’t because i cannot follow you where you are going :(. I mean… Would you feel betrayed or grossed out or feel like it’s unfair if someone would catch up to you in 2 to 5 years time something that took you 10 years to achieve? (no skills injectors, so 20$ a month and that’s it no additonal cost). Or if someone would catch up to you in 2 to 5 years time something that took you 10 years to achieve but they do it with skills injectors(RMT) ? is it more fair this way ? <— the latter is already present in the game.
I feel like there’s a misconception that the society have that If you don’t spend money on something you are not worthy. If you spend loads of money on something then you are worthy. Probably capitalism mentality would be my guess. I’ve lived my life asking myself “Do i really need this? Is it worth ? What are the pros and cons of getting that.” Boy did i saved loads of money. If i wanted to i could just spend 10 grand right now and train whatever i wanted in EvE. Is it really worth it tho ? instant gratification is short lived.
Just posting to register my discontent with these changes. Have been on the fence about continuing to subscribe, this has helped me make the decision to not continue to subscribe both my Omega accounts in December.
Nope I disagree, they don’t need that. Eve is really a vast game and there is loads of activities you can do with minimal skill training. Hell even incursions are alpha friendly if you are not playing with min-maxing elitist jerks that kick everyone who doesn’t have the absolute best skills, but you don’t want to play with those anyway
And mind you, I am a new player myself, I only have around 4 months worth of training under my belt, I don’t really feel like I’m limited in activities, only in ship variants and performance
after reading the interview CCP you still prove that you are not getting the pitcher you mention a few key points and ignore other points with bull ■■■■ answer and responses to all of the you say the game was unhealthy before i see the game has the worst it has ever been now it was a fun game now its a joke of pure boredom and grind if i wanted that i would go play WOW
you have show’en time and time again that you hate industry.
dont know why you want to kill your game so bad. but at the rate your going should not take long.
You forgot about the meaningful choice of sitting in a vulnerable state for hours after the actual mining op has ended while compressing.
By all means add a skill based loss amount to compression in space but don’t turn it into a chore that will take many hours after the belt/moon is stripped to complete.
Right click “compress” has worked well for years and as the old saying goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it”.
As has been pointed already, for mining the m³/hour matters. Not total availability of resources.
If you can mine X hours a day (quite simply - due to RL constraints), then if your yield over time doesn’t change, you won’t notice changes at all. And it doesn’t matter if there’s waste or not. What may affect your performance is consequences of the patch: least favorable placement of the 'roids inside of a belt for example. But waste mechanics does not affect you directly (assuming they fix the “last cycle” issue).
While I don’t think it’s bad that compression takes time, I think that the required amount of time (and required amount of compression modules) may be too high at the moment.
Also I don’t think it’s good for the game if people feel like they should sit in a belt (or worse, on tether/in a POS) in their compression ships while the mining operation is already over.
Well that’s the problem, you are imagining the mission op as: “everyone mines in a barge, dump on station and then Rorq will spend hours compressing to a reduced loss”, but what it should be is: “Rorq together with the fleet, providing boosts and protection and compressing on site what the barges mine”
I have no idea sorry, my insight only comes from the module attributes, I don’t really know how POS works on that regard. But I would expect they are not safe there either if they made the module specifically immune to that
Everything is going to cost more to build after this patch, sans some of the reductions from the already upside down build costs introduced with the prior industry patch this year.
