From Extraction to Production

Disturbing af, that cross-hair square is NOT aligned properly!

The modules work, but they need to be loaded almost to full (their capacity is 12,000 m3) to enable compression (you need to left click it). The problem with a Porpoise is that it has such a small cargo hold that you will need about 19 load cycles to get it to that point :expressionless:

that would be neat

The Venture has a icehold, but cannot mine it. In the past the orehold could hold all three harvest types without the need for triple holds. I just do not understand this requirement and what it is trying to solve.

It is my own Curiosity - what is the percentage of mining ships currently flown. I wouldnā€™t mind seeing similar to the Frostline event that provided/promoted a purpose for the Expedition Frigates.

all I see is extremely rich players complaining (and venture alts), when I kicked off with the game, I mined in a badger as there were no other ships, and it was fekkin veldsparā€¦

as to rorqs getting hammered, well goodā€¦ you wanna mine more, mine in an exhumer with boosts runningā€¦

if you complaining about ship prices, well its about time prices went down, so far alliances have been ripping into the market with insane pricesā€¦ sooo fekk it! start fighting for the marketā€¦

ADAPT OR RECYCLE TOONS!!! Support this motto 100%

I also remember Psycheā€™s on-air ā€˜Go ahead, quit. Youā€™ll be backā€™.

EDIT: Having checked the transcript, this was in error. The statements were made by Rattati and Goodfella.

Iā€™ve said it for a while and I think it should be said again. Mining needs a higher progression path. You start with a venture, used to be before ore holds were introduced, everyone then moved to mining in a destroyer, then you pick up barges, then you either go exhumer or support ships. support ships have a progession path up to capital class Porp > Orca > Rorq. Miners have no such progression path. once you reach exhumers thats it. thats the end game. Which is why everyone went to the orca/rorq as the next step in the progression path

I think itā€™s time for some new miner ship classes.

A t3 miner with:
ā€œAttackā€ subsystems geared towards ore or ice or gas
ā€œDefenseā€ subs geared towards tank , resists, or cloaking
ā€œCoreā€ subs tailored to increasing laser range, ewar defense, or ship PG/CPU/Cap etc
ā€œPropā€ subs for increased warp core stability, better inertia, AB/MWD buffs.

As well as a BC or BS class ship that mines a lot but is slower/tankier with high slots for offensive modules. Something to the tune of a marauder but for mining. something to really have a long haul train into so that people can have their end game progression path into mining.

Obviously these donā€™t have a prayer of being included in this update but CCP, please, these are the kind of changes that miners are wanting. Mining would be a lot more enjoyable for miners and gankers if there was more variety in the ships and paths you could take to get the job done.

Would like to see this for the Orca also

Nop. Never said that.

Take that you absentee big alliance athanor owner, here comes the Locust Fleet! Now with Orca support! Woot!

Donā€™t do compression like this. Different mods of different ore types at different meta levels with different skills. Only 10k at a time. Do not do compression like this. Donā€™t do compression like this.

i partly agree with you mostly because the Rorq already had modulesless compression. CCP doesnā€™t want it to just copy pasta from the Rorqā€™s current to Orca and Porp. i donā€™t think it has anything to do with old code minus the Rorq. the Ammo seems like a logical limitation to the game not taking stuff from random inventories. If this was to change we could see Fleet hangers used as ammo storage for large ships.

the point iā€™m trying to makeā€¦ is this is typical CCPā€™s Over engineered ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā– ā–  vs good development. they want the Rorq to be special which is why its a module in the first place as the Rorqā€™s code wonā€™t allow for specific ore types. This is my assumption. I canā€™t see any other reason as to waste The dev resources for thisā€¦ ā€œfeatureā€

Why in the name all the flying fĆ¹cks would anyone do that now?

You mean subbing and injecting up 15 hulk alts to sit on the orca? Yeah fat chance.

Probably the same cĆ¹nts that thought t1 bs and faction subs needed high sec moon goo, low/null reactions involving ice from all over space, pi, and gas. Just guessing but I suspect the very same people were involved.

I expect they should be noticeably different color. Probably not though.

It aint just new bros man, frig holes with gas in them are currently unreachable on sisi.

Go fĆ¹ck yourself -CCP 2021

I believe that was the point. CCP doesnā€™t do logic very well. Clearly.

Again, ā€œgo fĆ¹ck yourselfā€ -CCP 2021

Every time I leave itā€™s longer before I come back. Eventually even those that always come back just wonā€™t anymore. I love this damn game, and its honestly heartbreaking watching this catastrophe happen in real time.

Perhaps itā€™s a Mandela event, because I recall this as well. Maybe it was @CCP_Rattati ?

Edit: I must appologize to @CCP_Psych, it was indeed @CCP_Rattati. Sorry Psych.

I am in the minority here (if not the only person) that is annoyed that CCP wants to reduce the various crystals and skills into generalized categories instead of leaving them in their current distinctive state. Over the years, CCP has curtailed the flavor, the aura of the game into simpler terms while forgetting the old lore the game had in its early days. It is unfortunate that CCP wants to travel the path of least resistance and what I feel is stupefying the game for the least common denominator. I remember the old picture involving the learning curve of Eve versus other popular games at the time. But today, there is no cliff, no upward climb, but rolling in the ditches of mindless grinding.

I look forward to seeing people run some numbers. It may be interesting because not every moon mining situation gives a miner the opportunity to refine at a reasonable rate. In an alliance situation, Iā€™m sometimes faced with a choice of take what the owner pays or self-haul really bulky ore somewhere else to refine with higher taxes and waste. Not all athanors are rigged alikeā€“would it make sense to rig some for better pulls and compress the ore for shipment to an athanor with better refining bonuses? Run some numbers for us.

Iā€™d be interested in how the type C crystal actually works. The idea of spoiling attacks by ā€œLocust Fleetsā€ actually sounds fun. What about saboteurs in your mining fleet using Type C crystals? That could be fun for spies.

I think I see the thoughts behind mining waste and increasing the size of belts and moon pulls. I can also see why people are getting upset at changes that complicate game play without major improvements to their game play bottom line.

I ran the numbers for my High Sec Moon Goo Crew: zero. If minerals are removed from R4 moons then we will have nothing for our weekly fleets.

I am not an industrial guy but had to do some industry because with the industry patch market was kinda dried of ships i used .The waste staff is kinda a joke you put more ore in the belts and take it out with the waste staff.Rorguals returning to a boost role is kinda ok with me , sure let us return to the old days .But in the old days we had some other staff out there for content carriers supers etch now days we do not and that is not ok and will not work .About the compressing staff , clicking and w8 is like a job ,eve been like a 2ond job is not cool .This change will defiantly bring up the ore prices as we can all see isogen peryte is way up there , that will result in hulls been more expensive .And let us do a history remap of the latest patches

  1. ess dps most systems are like 35% so people make like pennyā€™s while having to be 3 hours online to protect what is in the ess
2)ess wouao u just use a phantasma or nightmare and play 100% safe having the speed and range to outrun everything
  2. ess fights who ever gets inside first gonna win the isk war for sure great game play stay at 0 press f1
  3. reserve banks i mean what a failure. ccp promote that with the end of scarcity lol keys are left and right their price is rly high and ofc to get them is like super hard.So people who actually are out there can see the reserve banks out there with the billions inside hanging around .
  4. the changes to the mauraders lol if u got minimal pvp skills u just warp in and win the fight afk with your massive dps and your friends .
  5. dps resulted on people stop rating with expensive staff like carriers super carriers etch cause it rly does no worth the risk , and ofc with the industry patches you can not replace caps.
7)industry changes wouao we have all heard people saying losses must matter and we need a healthy economy , so for a healthy economy lets just go to jita and check the prices of orthus bs gila end the rest , so while your income went down ships hulls went up by a lot .That resulted in less people in space , people take fights when they got 100% chances of win etc.
  6. the return of AT the only good thing so far
  7. concort beacons u can run only 3 per day so u need more alts and only do them in the big blocks cause everyone can see where is the beacon and people do tend to go for the esier targets.
  8. Duno know what ccp touched but people complain about randoms dc lag etch , for me it depents on the day but have been a victume of dc.
So overall the way eve is going is a 2ond job and live your poverty dream online, and since we are here let us see who is suporting the ccp patches @CCP_Rattati ( Louis XVI) but let us see the players openly supporting the patches @Kenneth_Feld csm member industrial guy with 30 alts that has a huge wallet does 0 pvp and has 0 clue about conflict or the end user , he was in talking in station with his buddy @Matterall talking about the offensive mining with the 100% waste crystals , i mean like kill us with strip miners man ,also need to mention matterall is a trader supporting 100% ccp patches and plays the goon card all the time , can we get a screen shot of their wallet in eve so we can explain why they support this patches ? cause we the peasants are kinda poor and can t afford to fly ships anymore .Ron even returned from the grave yesterday to have materral on his stream and say people are not upset for a particular reason they are just been told to be upset (the goon card once more) listen dute we do not care about your goon issues or you selling your bhalgorns in jita we need the poverty era to end , and yeah with those people and their Louis XVI attitude jita riots will accomplish nothing vote with your wallet . @CCP_Swift constrictive feedback and remove the dam rats from the gates that mess up pvp in null sec but you removed the belts and that caused other issues .w8 this comment to be deleted as i said earlier vote with your wallet we want the good old days back we do not want a 2ond job neither live in poverty!!!

Compression modules for Orca disallows docking and tethering for 90 seconds.

What a joke.

Well, at least we can safely ignore them and forget they exist.

That was Rattati. He is fine with people quitting over things that only he considers to be good for EVE. Iā€™m not entirely sure if he said that in the interview with Oz or an earlier talk about scarcity.

Please, also consider these:

  • Consider giving an option for refund of the mining ship skills. Not just reprocessing. The changes to the ships and the addition of the waste mechanics are too impactful not to offer that option.

  • Remove the whole wastage mechanic. This is Scarcity 2.0, with trolls/gankers/warmongers acting as the belts/ressources nerfers, as theyā€™ll happily use the Type C cristals to do the nerf job for you. We already know these players where laughing at the whole scarcity era. No need to add another layer.

  • Give back their mids to the Procurer and Skiff. If the other barges get net +1 slot, the Proc should get a net +1 as well (to itā€™s low slot is really appreciated). You doubled the weight of these ships, hitting their speed and agility, but this is not reflected in double raw structure/armor HP. The bonus resist has nothing to do with weight.
