Frustrating and unfair

I’m not stupid enough to think that you will ever agree with anything I say. You don’t like me, and I’m not fond of you either.

But I know that others will read what I say, and my argument will make much more sense to them than yours does, and ultimately that’s all that matters.

This is insightful.

Catering to carebears has had the counterintuitive effect of weakening carebears. They become lazy, think they are immune, and they seek safety behind artificial game mechanics rather than relying upon their own abilities.

The crabs seek safety, and safety will find them!

Seeing, also over a period of 10 years, that the “sheep” (sic) in hisec have increased opportunity to gather wealth, indeed there should be more “wolves” (sic), or more ways for these to interfere. The constant demand for removal of pvp from hisec, or reduce the already low opportunity of pvp’ers to get involved in hisec is just about as destructive to the game as rmt would be if left unchecked. One would start to believe that the loss of a mining ship, or a hauler is a devastating experience ?! You can spend years in hisec without getting ganked. Where are the wolves ?! Uedama ?

The sad part is that so much catering has been done, that we’ve passed the event horizon, and now it will be impossible to return to the old system even if all of these changes are reversed, because these super-groups and their “4D chess” tactics aren’t magically going to go away at this point. An entire generation of EVE players would have to be replaced in order to bring EVE back to the more equitable system of years past.

I’m genuinely unsure whether players like DMC don’t understand the damage they’re doing, or are employing scorched-earth tactics by intentionally sabotaging the players they claim to advocate for (and by effect, sabotaging the game itself) just to get back at the players they dislike.

Don’t worry, I’m here to save the galaxy (again).

Somebody made a reference to predator’s culling the herd to keep the game healthy, I basically said the same goes for culling the predators as well.

Yeah right, try telling that to Game Commissioners of Wildlife Preserves. Anyway, in some feeble attempt to prove me wrong you went on some sort of rage rant and posted a huge pile of manure.

The only thing you’re right about is the fact that I don’t like you… at all. I’d prefer to not even interact with you here in the forums but you just won’t let that be.

Humans aren’t natural predators, and the game commissioners most definitely don’t prevent animals hunting other animals. In fact, their job is to ensure that humans interfere in that process as little as possible.

Too bad. If you don’t want your public forum posts blown up, don’t undock them.

lol, you’re way off, Humans are pretty much the apex of predators on Earth. As for Game Commissioners of Wildlife Preserves, when required they enforce and pay bounty on certain species to maintain population control.

Since you can’t comprehend the written word, maybe you’ll understand sign language:
:fu:
And while you’re at it, go peddle your BS onto somebody else.

Apex predators yes, but natural predators no. EVE is a microcosm of the natural world, with predator animals hunting prey animals, and prey animals evading the predators, in an arms race of evolutionary advantages. The humans in this case are CCP, and not the predators. Equating EVE predators to humans would equate EVE prey not to wild animals, but to cattle. Is that what you think about all the non-combatant players in the game? That they’re an industrialized food source? It’s quite an interesting perspective.

Which wouldn’t be necessary to begin with if humans didn’t interfere in the natural order. There were no game commissioners thousands of years ago, and yet nature and life functioned just fine.

You’re an exceptionally-bitter individual. Like, premature heart attack levels of bitter. Maybe consider working on changing that, if for no one else’s sake but your own?

How did you know that DMC didn’t like you?

I’ve always had my suspicions, but that one time he threatened to beat the ■■■■ out of me in real life kind of sealed the deal.

One minth? Its 1/144 from your gametime. No, its matter somehow.

The days prior to 2006, when high sec was beneficial and not full of people being abusive, and had healthy activity. at this point its better off just deleting it.

You my friend are very ignorant of where destruction takes place if you think that some how its not in high sec.

In “the days prior to 2006,” high-sec was seen as a backwoods ■■■■-hole that everyone aspired to leave sooner rather than later. Players couldn’t wait to get out into low or null because living in dangerous space made you respectable as an EVE player. There was no “leave me the ■■■■ alone so that I can farm in peace” attitude back then.

This is not true, not entirely anyways. At that time alliances trying to get footing in null were based out of high and low sec, and it was often required for them to build up and move out into null in numbers because of the common tactic at the time of “killing alliances before they got in null”.

That being said, There was a massive and highly active mission/trade community then (I know I made 3.2 trillion isk in those days off trading). The community was highly active in high sec then, and in fact it was common to go to mission runners for locator agents and buy the service to track people.I’m sorry but i think at this p oint you have demonstrated that your opinion and position is purely from one angel.

here is a eye opener to you, The majority of people that play this game and others do not think like you. Just because you dont want to be in high sec does not mean others do not want to be there.

Thats the difference between us. I am able to recognize that everyone should have a section in eve they go to to do what they enjoy, because that means more population for eve, which means more options for players, which means more players and ultimately more income for development of eve (as well as more longevity).

You guys are so wrapped up in if you get to abuse another, or if others are doing what you want them to do that you are blind to the fact that people out there dont think like you, and dont want to be part of your form of game play.

Lastly,
As i have said many times before we tried your (ie the people with opinions like you) approach, and it has not yielded any results in recuperating people in eve, any since you dont like it anyways, there is no foul on changing it!

You’re going off on a lot of tangents that have absolutely nothing to do with my reply.

What a load of Bull…

High Sec has always had the largest population amount. Various types of game mechanics, Concord, Invulnerability timers, etc, were created specifically for High Sec due to players constantly attacking other players as they spawned.

Subject: “Life”.
Main specifications: “Frustrating and unfair”.
Sorry just cant hold it🤣

The game was released with CONCORD already implemented. Timers were added in the 2003 Castor expansion in order to deal with load times and to allow players to get their bearings after session changes. Neither was added in response to “players constantly attacking other players as they spawned” because that wasn’t even a consideration at that stage of the game’s existence.

Once again, I get that you don’t like me, but why lie? It makes you look bad, not me. You realize that if you follow me around the forums and insult me in front of anyone I’m debating with, it just makes you look like like a petulant child, right? And you’re almost twice my age. You’ve never actually addressed an argument I’ve ever made. Not a single time. Your responses have always been “BS” this and “trash” that (and much worse things than that). That level of obsessive hostility is not normal.

well i saw an advertisement and it looked like an interesting game – so i subscribed. As others have said, how was anyone to know that one should read stuff online first to see if there was anything free on offer. Now I know that. but didnt back then
