Future of PVP

Ahhh i see what you are looking for.

I’ve said it so many times: if you cross a carebear even by just a little bit, by taking like 500k isk worth of their ore for instance, they go apeshit.

Is it wierd that I want to gank them even more now?

Yes becuase the isk for pvp ships come out of your ass for free… I would rather pve as little as possible so that I can affored to pvp. If your mining at 10mil/h thats a lot more hours before you can pvp… use some common sense bro.

O you’re a high sec ganker makes sense, that is not pvp bro, that’s still pve.
The difference between pvp and pve is that pve is the same every time and you find a strat that works and you keep implementing it. Pvp has a million variables where you have to change strats on the fly use every little advatange you can get. But ganking is pve you pick a target scram him get your buddies to press warp then press f1 boom done, literally 2 button’s your mom must be proud.

Currenlty it feels like Regional Market PVP is more entertaining than undocking.

Why is this happening? I want to pvp in Destroyers vs Barges for my entertainment time but the regional market is so volatile right now that one can’t simply ignore and pretend everything is normal.

@ Ursula Anders I think it is in reference to a New Eden mother / teacher and not the outside irl.

Sorry to read such news, I am also sure it wasn’t directed to be a hurtful thread comment.

I apologize for that I had no idea, I mean you where being an ass so you triggered me.

What triggered me is the isk-an-hour approach to a freaking game. Maybe it’s entertaining to count and recount isk-riches like the fun is commensurate with how much isk one can make, I don’t know. I thought a game was to have fun and be competitive, not a race to riches.
So we both got triggered. No apologies to make on your part, I’m overly sensitive of my mother’s death, I don’t think I’ll get over it before I die.

Unfortunately after many years of playing the pve just isn’t fun anymore its become a choir but the pvp is still good so the pve becomes a necessary evil. And if I where to plex for all my pvp then it would get to me psychologically. So I go to great lengths to min max the pve side and loose as little personal time on it as posible, even as far as to have lots of detailed spread sheets on it.

You made part of my point. That’s why I emphasize taking breaks and not playing for hours on end.
PvP PvE… doesn’t make much difference to me, especially in a game where you can explode any moment, anywhere in the blink of an eye.
That’s why I fitted my defunct Catalyst as I did. I was in 0.4, I knew I would be attacked eventually and didn’t have the will to run nor the means to fight but the purpose of those sorties were to learn and observe - my first time in Lowsec, do a little ratting, not counting the benefits of successfully mining lots of Isogen and Noxium. That was fun and I’m proud of this:

I think the first time I went to low sec I lasted a whole 8 minutes mining on a belt 1 system from high when a pilgrim de-cloaked and blasted me into oblivion xD for some reason if you go 5 systems deep into low you are like 90% safer lol its always those nabouring systems that are the most active.

I wont lie im a little jealous you get to explore eve with fresh sense’s for me getting my first shakes in pvp where I actually stood a chance of winning was absolutely amazing and no other game has ever been able to top it.

Here is an example of how low player-count has gotten. I was able to rat, exlore and mine in my Catalyst for two days straight before finally someone deigned show me the door… I told them I’d be back and grabbed another ship. I’ve been back but got smarter about it. Now they’re providing content for me.

Eve goes through these phases and as soon as CCP finally releases new content it would be buzzing with people again.

I remember in 2013 I think it was when CCP released a monocle on the store for a few hundred dollars and jeans for your char which where more expensive than real jeans or something and thinking this is it this is the end of eve and nope people came back. CCP even came back with some massive apology at the time.

Reinvent yourself from time to time, shake things up and try completely different play styles. But also very much: stop min maxing both for pve as for pvp. Some ships are just very good to the point where they take little effort, achievement and dare I say it, pride.

Use ships that aren’t obvious, that require more effort. So many people optimise the fun out of games to then say its boring.

I hope it doesn’t die as quick as some players think/wish. It has great potential and I have fun every time I log in.

I’m running lvl 4’s in a hawk like 15 different missions I would say im already way out of meta lol
