Game-breaking lack of enforcement against input broadcasting / multi-input automation

To the EVE Online Support Team and Community Management,

I am writing this out of sheer frustration and anger regarding the current state of the game. Over the last six months, input broadcasting and multi-input automation have completely spun out of control, and CCP’s total lack of enforcement is actively destroying the game.

PvP has become a joke. My group roams looking for fights, only for a single player with 10 accounts to drop on us with every single ship warping, locking, and firing at the exact same millisecond. Go to Taisy right now, and you will see a specific players running missions with multiple Barghests that all warp and align simultaneously. This isn’t high-level multiboxing; it is blatant, automated input broadcasting.

What makes this completely ridiculous is that your support team does absolutely nothing. These players are reported dozens of times. Your Terms of Service explicitly state that input multiplexing is forbidden, yet there are zero consequences. When confronted, these botters and input-broadcasters literally tell us “good luck with the report,” because they know CCP will not touch them.

It is incredibly disheartening to watch a game I love be ruined by this behavior. By refusing to punish these cheaters, you are killing the sandbox. It feels like corporate greed has overtaken game integrity, allowing rule-breakers to run rampant just because they pay for multiple subscriptions.

EVE used to be an incredible experience back in the days. Today, playing against automated multi-input fleets from players who operate with total impunity has turned the game into a joke.

CCP should take a stronger stance against botting/broadcasting.

Except we know that this usually falls on deaf ears…

“We are fully aware of the situation.”

But how do you know that those 40 characters, that all have the same name and appeared in local all within 1 second, are not real players?

You cant prove that, therefore you are stupid for even making this thread

He indicated 10 (not 40) ships, acting in concert with no delay.

Everyone of these accounts is an account, somebody pays for - via subscription or plex.

Banning these account hurts CCP´s/ FC´s revenue stream.

And they are in dire need of revenue after the buyback and their most latest vision.

Hell, they even sell skillpoints in bulk nowadays, together with constant plex sales. Marking
this as the health economy the game needs.

Don’t assume that this focuses on the ingame economy, but rather than on CCP´s / FC KPI´s.

Long story short : Enforcing the game rules / EULA is a luxury they just cannot afford. Longterm

It will break the game - except some die-hards like me. The hope might be that the new projects

Hit the market with great success BEFORE this happens.

If the community wants to get this solved, there is only one way : Vote with your wallet. Cancel

Every subscription you have running and leave.

If enough people do that, the Multiboxing-Multiimput guys will also lack their content and may

Leave as well - if those guys cancel their sub, they will do it in droves.

Maybe THEN CCP / FC will wake up in a (desperate ?) attempt to save their one and only cash-cow.

Until then… Money talk, b-s**t walks.

But yeah, I can feel your frustration. Been a loyal customer since 2006… but nowadays…. Not so sure anymore.

If you don’t understand how multiboxers can warp simultaneously, at the same exact millisecond, then you don’t understand the game at all. Warping at the same time is not proof of botting/automation at all.

Wasn’t there a youtube video somewhere that shows how it is done and that it is in fact no input broadcasting? Or was it only on twitch?

Please if someone have the link…

I won’t bother to repeat myself, but this happens because they allow multiboxing. When someone opens the door a crack, to allow in light or air, it defeats the purpose of have the door at all.

Have fun!

Perfect reasons to remove Regroups, Fleetwarps and DroneAssist from the game. Let every single pilot be full 100% self-responsible for his own actions at any time, give no convenience to multiboxers. Input Broadcasting cheats will be pretty easy to detect then.

I’ve been playing EVE long enough to understand that some multiboxing is at least nowadays part of the game. A “few” accounts, some coordination, and you can accomplish things solo that normally require a small group. That’s part of EVE’s sandbox, but personaly I’m no fan of multiboxing at all.

But what we’re seeing now is something entirely different.

The sheer scale of multiboxing today—entire fleets run by a single person, dozens of accounts synchronized, industrial operations that dwarf what normal players can achieve—has reached a point where it actively harms the broader player base. It’s not just “someone using a few alts.” It’s industrialized gameplay that pushes out smaller groups, trivializes risk, and distorts the economy.

This isn’t healthy for the game.

When one person can field the equivalent of a corporation’s worth of ships, it undermines the core of EVE: cooperation, conflict, and meaningful choices. It also creates a barrier for new players who simply cannot compete with someone running 20+ accounts in perfect sync.

And all of this is happening while CCP is increasing monetization and advertising at a pace that feels disconnected from the actual state of the game. More paid features, more “special offers,” more pressure to subscribe multiple accounts—while core gameplay issues remain unresolved.

EVE thrives when players feel their actions matter. When the universe feels fair, dangerous, and alive. Right now, it feels like the game is drifting toward “pay for more accounts, or get left behind.”

I’m not asking for multiboxing to be removed. I’m asking for limits, balance, and a recognition that extreme multiboxing is not the same as normal gameplay. And I’m asking CCP to focus on the health of the sandbox instead of pushing monetization that encourages the very behavior that’s damaging it.

EVE deserves better.
Its players deserve better.
And the long-term future of the game depends on addressing this.

Also F1-weapon priming and CTRL locking a fleet broadcasted target isn’t exactly rocket science as well…unless of course you are a single player that doesn’t even know about fleet mechanics…

It was on YouTube but that was so long ago, it would take me a while to try to find it.

Well, I multibox 3 accounts. And while I occasionally fleet warp, etc. - I compensate for the lack of OSX switching software with auto-targeting missiles.

i see this all the time, eve does not give any craps, those that post in forums denying your claim are likely those who are committing the offenses or CCP(whatever) partners.

Sadly the CCP(whatever) fools JDGAF.

Commanding your own fleet is an offence now, you say? Are you a single player and don’t know fleet mechanics?

Fleet Warp to target
Broadcast target in fleet window
CTRL-click on fleet broadcast message, F1, change window
CTRL-click on fleet broadcast message, F1, change window

no input broadcasting software needed. Just good enough reflexes and a good enough computer for the fast window switching that are all lined up in a line with minimal mouse movement.

i do understand the need to keep multi boxing its a genie once out the bag can not be fully put back without hurting the game but multi boxing has become at times oppressive the ability for 1 person to field fleets themselves to do what is designed for many players to run without the implication of input broadcasting raising its detrimental head .
i always felt having a restricted number of accounts that could be logged in at any one time was a better option .

How nice the game would be without fleetwarps, regroups, drone assists and pre-activation of modules. Running more than 3 clients in any kind of “active combat scenario” would really be a challenge. Easy fix for the overboarding massmultibox cancer.

inb4 people who don’t know very much about todays possibilities of hardware identification showing up and telling you that this would be “impossible to enforce”

Not impossible, just difficult to do well without inconveniencing some real customers.

FCCP’s record on doing difficult things well is not spotless.
