Gankers are Not Polite or Patient with Miners

Unfortunately , the Frostpackers see that as a reward for bad behaviour.

Maybe Aiko’s approach was the right one from the beginning, attention deprivation in the form of blocking them might be the only solution in the long term.

If the cpu and power grid fit then it must be true!

At least I was not referring towards Fang being an average ganker.

I said average then you quickly placed her into the same bucket as half of HS gankers!

Every ganker is an F1 monkey. It’s the fastest way to turn on 6 guns.

Funny thing is that miners are not F1 monkeys. Strip Miners cannot be grouped together which means you’d have to hit F1 and F2.

But he’s full of very hot air! Should I offer a reward for the sound of a Frosty popping to see how loud it is? I could only offer 1 bil this time as alphas don’t make much isk…

What? And miss all the entertainment he brings? :upside_down_face:

Much like the rest of this thd.

I’ve never hit F1 in my entire time in EVE. A good accurate mouse is all I need.

I like to combine the two. While I’m control clicking targets with my mouse, I’m hitting F1 and 1 (for mid slot- target painting). It works for me

Nothing more than another ganker swill thread.

That’s cause your pilots are always mouse clicking your blasters while still in warp.

Popping him would end his performance, as you note it is more funny to witness it.

A noble sacrifice to trigger his reaction for everyone else to see and enjoy.

Nah…its undock, or warp in via gate…preheat blasters…fleet warp…lock target…warp scram…fire blasters…move in closer. Generally that order, and the entire sequence might take 10 - 20 seconds depending on the warp in distance. The actual attack is just a few seconds…all over pretty quick.

People say use d-scan against gankers…but I’d argue that against an incoming gank fleet it makes zero difference. By the time the fleet is on the move, it is too late.

There’s more than enough time between hitting ‘lock’ and the lock actually taking effect, to move the cursor from the ‘lock’ icon to the blasters icon. The only real variable is how close one lands to the target, as blasters have a quite short range. I’ve also bounced off asteroids, which can totally mess up the range.

Not if the miner mines pre-aligned and ready to hit warp. In that case even just seeing the fleet arrive on grid should be enough time (though lag might be an issue when it comes to specific edge cases but that is unrelated to the general principle).

Getting Aligned isn’t enough. You also need to be at max velocity which doesn’t work when mining. The key is to mark every ganking corp as RED and run the second you see more than one red ship enter local.

First of all 75% velocity not max. and second you can use this to make it viable:

Ooohh nice!!!

Which is not all that practical if you are wanting to stay near an asteroid, as alignment involves moving at least at 75% max speed.

I prefer to just mine on the opposite side of the asteroid belt to the landing point, and at max laser range. And then just be wary of anyone coming too close.

There are asteroid belts so big that a ship would need several warps to reach me. It would be highly suspicious in such belts if anyone came closer than 100km.

Will have it be known that our ceo received life advice from Perimeter local.

That happened many years ago…

It works for me, I don’t know why it doesn’t work for you? Maybe I pay even more attention to my surroundings than you, again, don’t know? Having started the game as a hunter, I always know there is someone like me hunting me. In hs, you have an even bigger advantage with local. Spend yrs successfully in a wh and avoiding hs gankers is a breeze. I even say hello to the local ganking squads. Why not, they know there not going to catch me and turn out to be friendly when I chat with them? In EVE, one should have sense of humor with the experience to match.

I made most of my isk in a wh. Dscan=life. Didn’t bother me to be an active player. Sure, my transports get popped now and then, big deal. I like holding alignment till they show up on grid as I then warp out. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I pride myself on getting my wifes toon to apx 2500 of a target inside an asteroid belt, pinpoint the target, then warping out as I land. In a wh encounter I had, the target missed the renter who tipped me off, my wifes toon undocking and finally, my combat toon undocking. Never saw any of the 3 ships and called me lame for killing a

.

I take it you don’t want to waste time scanning?

Good catch!
