Always gives me a chuckle how these threads can go off on such a tangent… from “Ganking Cancer” to “Sausage Gravy” in the span of a few hours. I wonder if we’ll next be discussing the proper temperature to broil sausage or entering into the great broil vs. BBQ debate, natural gas vs. charcoal, etc.

You can but if the GM isn’t a moron you’ll get denied and hopefully a stern warning about trying to game the reimbursement system.

- Tether grants immunity from being targetted and damaged.
Before CCP nerfed tether to not work for gankers. We used to gank with -10 toons. Ie. criminals. We could have been attacked preemptively, but not when tethered. Although during this time, AGs had at least some counterplay against gankers. After tether was disabled for too low security status, all but very few gankers started tagging all their toons up. That means they are not criminals enymore and cannot be attacked preemptively.
- After nerfs to ganking 2022, you don’t get tether if you security status is too low.
- Security status of -2.0 or below: Cannot tether in 1.0 security systems.
- -2.5 or below: Cannot tether in 0.9 systems.
- -3.0 or below: Cannot tether in 0.8 systems.
- -3.5 or below: Cannot tether in 0.7 systems.
- -4.0 or below: Cannot tether in 0.6 systems.
- -4.5 or below: Cannot tether in 0.5 systems.
At the same time they nerfed docking in hgihsec, everywhere, the threshold for that is -5.0. UBelow that you can dock even in 1.0 system.
Since we already tether at citadels or are docked, then suspect flag for red safety won’t change a thing. It just nerfs small gank ops - new players into this content. And it will completely remove station ganking. It won’t be possible to gank at station without scripting, unless there is some chat command to change safety we don’t know about lol.
Cries to nerf ganking will never stop. The more CCP nerfs ganking the more will carebears cry because they saw that their crying worked and thus cry harder. And these “we want to fight gankers” arguments are nonsense. Gankers are tethering at citadels. Carebears can unite and wardec those citadels. There is nothing stopping them from it. But they never did, instead they cried how unfair it is because we have Goonsfriends + BLACKFLAG. on our side and they can’t ever win against that, therefore they cannot fight us and demanded the citadels to be nerfed instead so we can’t use them.
And here you are, crying.
Ganking will eventually be removed from HS, as it should.
And Eve will enter a Golden Age…

So far, I haven’t read a single nerf that i disagree with. They have all made sense.
