Ganking has gone too far

The fact that you can’t even differentiate between a video game and real life stuff is worrisome. Get help please.

You’re the one addicted to ruining people’s games and then trying to defend the ethics of it on forums, you clearly are crying out for help, but can’t seem to let go of your arrogance.

lol, you should join the committee on banning Chess for extreme violence.

“the risk of having your day ruined by other people is the cornerstone with which EVE was built” -CCP Solomon.

Ethics don’t come into it, being able to ruin the game for you is entirely within the rules of Eve; you’re not playing a generic MMO in space, you’re playing an entirely PvP orientated competitive MMO.

You either deal with it or you quit.

Except now you’re dictating how the game is and isn’t played, by someone else. Sorry but no matter how arrogant and entitled you are, that’s not a basic right. Inflicting yourself on others isn’t a human right, no matter how badly you want it to be, no matter how frustrated you are with your real life, leaving you foaming at the mouth as you log into Eve, it doesn’t entitle you to attempt to force and coerce others into playing your victims or acting like you.

You’re actually sitting here trying to intellectually defend acting like spoiled children who expect everyone around them to accept their every whim, “or else”. Still waiting on your never ending war dec to ruin my game, haven’t seen you mouth breathers on the Alliance zkill at all. No matter how much you want to be the big bad thing that bullies its way around the game, you’re just as impotent to force your will on others here as you are in reality.

Minx bonked me in the head last month, and I’ve only been playing for a couple of months now, and I’m still here

Although I do admit, I didn’t pay the 10 mill for a permit, but I don’t mine…

The only rights you have in Eve are the ones that CCP allow you, this is their universe and their rules; if you don’t like the rules of the game, go play another.

Nope, I’m simply pointing out that the rules of the game allow others to inflict themselves on you.

Still waiting on your never ending war dec to ruin my game, haven’t seen you mouth breathers on the Alliance zkill at all.

You have me confused with someone else, I am but an industrialist and trader. I don’t use the wardec mechanism at all, my PvP being conducted in more subtle and indirect ways.

No matter how much you want to be the big bad thing that bullies its way around the game, you’re just as impotent to force your will on others here as you are in reality

It’s not bullying if it’s within the rules, and you can log out at any time to avoid any unwanted conflict with others.

Have you considered playing one of the “alternatives” to Eve that aren’t as cut-throat and have much tighter RoE, Elite Dangerous offers much of what Eve offers without what you see as negatives.

And he goes right back to the delusional “inflicting myself on others is a right” thing. Didn’t expect any better, oh well. Have you considered that limited perceptions like yours limit the growth of Eve as a game, and as a community, and that every style of play deserves to be equally viable, in both terms of enjoyment, and game progression. I want this game to grow, you want it to stay exactly how it is until it slowly drives away everyone who doesn’t think like you, and a few victims. Positive vs negative, in a nutshell.

Act On Players, Act on World, Act on World to Affect Players, Act on Players to Affect World. Basic game theory, beyond you.

For people like you, PvP can only mean combat. Whereas there are a variety of ways players can enjoy interacting with other players competitively, if you’re not a combat junkie who can’t see past the end of his targeting scanners. Competing with other merchants for business is competitive PvP. Mining resources before a rival can is competitive PvP. Negotiating to have your enemy barred from a particular station is competitive PvP. Selling goods for an exorbitant profit by manipulating the market, is competitive PvP. Too bad with such a rich and open universe, all you want is ganks and counter ganks and wars, all day, every day.

Yet here you are trying to inflict yourself on others by appealing for the game to be changed to favour you.

Irony in action

Have you considered that limited perceptions like yours limit the growth of Eve as a game, and as a community, and that every style of play deserves to be equally viable, in both terms of enjoyment, and game progression.

Have you considered that Eve was never designed to appeal to the likes of you?
All styles of play are viable, if you pay attention and learn how to avoid unwanted interference in your activities, get good or get out.

I want this game to grow, you want it to stay exactly how it is until it slowly drives away everyone who doesn’t think like you, and a few victims.

I’m what many PvP players (in the sense of shooting others in the face) consider to be prey, my aim as prey is to be harder to catch than the other prey; not getting shot in the face by virtue of using the existing mechanics to my advantage is as much PvP as shooting you in the face.

TL;DR I choose not to be a victim, you should try it sometime

Appealing for growth, while you appeal for yourself. I want more players, you want less. Yet you keep acting like you’re somehow right, it’s sad.

We do want more, just more with the right attitude… not people like you who complain at every opportunity they get

We all want more players, but quality beats out quantity every time.

What we don’t want is mewling quims like you.

An now they are trying to undo it, just read few last Hilmar’s interviews!

You keep saying these openly arrogant and incorrigible things yet consider it gospel truth XD sorry but unfortunately, games that allow assholes to run rampant, can’t grow beyond a certain point, they stagnate and eventually fade away. Eve is already stagnating, and you have only yourselves to blame. You keep saying that you’re right, that this is the best way, yet the game doesn’t seem to be growing, lmao.

That’s why we try to tell you that EVE is nothing for you so we can get rid of the asshole

That is not ccp’s goal

Q: With Into the Abyss you’re changing the content of EVE. At first it doesn’t appear to be what EVE is about. It’s a solo experience in a world known for its huge interactive society.

Hilmar: EVE is famous for that but actually there are a lot of people who play EVE Online relatively solo. It’s a misconception that hardcore PVP is all EVE is. That’s what gets the headlines and what the game is known to be unique for. But playing EVE as a solo player in the tapestry of all that political drama is a lot of un. I mostly play EVE Online like that. It’s hard for me to play in the top end PVP because you have to be on voice and mine is very recognisable and that just wouldn’t work. And I’m also running a company as my day job, I have three kids and family. It’s not like I have a lot of time, so I mostly solo play. But I love doing that in a dangerous world where all these things are going on – I’m sneaking around while Titans are flying above. A lot of EVE players solo play inside a massive virtual universe.

I feel sorry for you, genuinely. You claim to enjoy this game, yet spend your time actively driving people away from it as best you are able. More people, more content, better game. Your petty little hateful attitude is all based in fear, you’re just so afraid of people being able to enjoy this game without you being able to disrupt them unrestricted and openly, why? Change is growth, and if bringing in more kinds of players and cutting back on the ability of PvP players to manipulate the system means growth, and keeping your kind of player means the game ending, which would you rather honestly choose, an Eve that changes and grows, or an Eve that stays exactly how you like it, stagnates, and dies?

We’ve already seen over 15 years that your attitude isn’t going to help the game get any further than it has.

I do my best to help to retain players who are genuinely interested in playing this game. You are no such person though. You have no interest in learning how the game works, you just come here with your toxic attitude and entitlement and think just because you have an issue grasping a game mechanics it has to be changed.

Cry more. No one cares

Apparently not being a “victim” is entirely too much for some, blaming the rules of the game and the people playing by those rules for their own shortcomings and ineptitude.

@Ima_Wreckyou @Dom_Arkaral would you care to explain to some of the people in this thread how a mere trader and industrialist like myself manages to avoid the attentions of the merry band of mischievous miscreants that you’re part of.
