I made a list of counterplay options:

  1. pay the gankers to gank someone else (it works!)

  2. you go elsewhere

  3. dock up

  4. fit your ship (try armor, shield, DCU, bulkheads, and rigs)

  5. warp away (try aligning, using bookmarks)

  6. use an afterburner/MWD

  7. drones (lots of options)

  8. ecm - these are literal ‘countermeasures’

  9. boosts/reps

  10. logi

  11. bait

  12. smartbombs

  13. stationcamp the gankers

  14. gatecamp the gankers

  15. wardec the gankers (we all own structures somewhere)

  16. beg

  17. whine in the forums

  18. gank the gankers - for example, Novus Ordo mines in Silen, Abudban, and Finanar - if they can gank your miner, you can gank their miner

  19. cloaky loki

  20. hunt their suspect looter

  21. kill their scouts

  22. steal their loot

  23. shoot their decloak fighters

  24. warp core stabilizer

  25. join a fleet

  26. dont go AFK

  27. scam the gankers

  28. don’t be a miner

  29. overheat

  30. warn other miners

  31. try scouting

  32. use an alt

  33. phone a friend

  34. be cool and get adopted as a ganker’s pet

  35. learn to bump

  36. try cloaking

  37. dont be greedy

  38. buy a mining permit/mining rights/multipass

  39. pay rent

  40. get good

  41. be more like Aiko Danuja

  42. praise me (and please me)

  43. dont be obnoxious
