Ganking makes Eve a better place

Oh damn, it literally shows the moment I biomassed all my characters and made new ones.

This is a game. There are no ripoffs here. It’s not like anyone proposed to sell you something and it ended it up being worth 100x less than what you paid for it, that’s a ripoff. EVE is a game where other players will target you and you can target other players for combat, it’s PvP and not a ripoff.
If you can’t handle the emotions that come with confrontation in a game then you need to find another game to play, a PvE game, there are many online and offline.

 Okay bruv… keep on ā€œteachingā€ then

Your missing the point, ganking today is way worst then it has ever been. it’s hurting the ā€œgameā€ I’m not saying we need to get rid of ganking we just ne to tone it down. Make it harder so we give new and uninformed players the chance to get to know the game and fall in love with it.

If we continue on this path it will be less fun for you, me cause playing with less people on a server sucks.

I thought gankers were the noobs?

Gankers are not Noobs, they are smart people that have found a way to game the game <Pun.

Oh, so you think gankers are smarter than you?

Player retention is not the business of players. Of what conceivable use is wringing one’s hands and breaking out in a cold sweat because the player count is down on whatever point in time you wish to flourish before us?

There are two magic numbers here; the player count and the player turnover. It is CCP’s job to manage both. If they get it wrong, they know full well that the game could expire. What interest would they have in such an outcome?

That EVE Online continues to retain, eject and attract players, after almost two decades, should indicate to the fearmongers that the unenviable balancing act performed by the Company is working well enough.

I give not a Tinker’s Cuss for the player-retention-merry-go-round which is so tirelessly trotted out in GD and C&P.

If the content disappears - so shall Sasha!

no, were both equally smart i just choose not to play that style of game.

So you could be a ganker if you wanted to?

It is if your playing a mmo, more players more fun. if you the player run off people before they can understand a game fully. then you don’t understand MMO’s

Quality is more important than quantity.

yes, but i don’t like that game play so i don’t partake in it.

not in a MMO

Should CCP balance the game to reward you, for your refusal to take part in the gameplay - or should you take responsibility for missing out on content, and that’s on you and not a problem with the game design?

Wouldn’t you think more players equals more content to gank.

No, because by your own reasoning you need to make ganking more difficult to gain those players, so your solution winds up with more players but less ganking. I would argue that, in the end, you would wind up with no players and no ganking.

yes make it harder not impossible to gank = more players more content

In Eve, risk = reward. If you remove ganking, or make ganking more difficult, then you also remove the reward for miners who survive, and you kill the game.

making it harder is not removing ganking
