Give haulers an edge...some thoughts

Well, this got away from me but apparently the gate holograms already give you the kill info:

Actually, I do that quite often  but I do have webber at hand and scout the system ahead to know if it even makes sense to jump… and always only few jumps (no more than 2).

It doesn’t matter, unless you have a fleet coming to rescue you.

Once you get caught more tank = more waiting to be killed, dead either way.

If you get caught in highsec, more tank = more chance of concord showing up in time to kill the attackers. If you’re going through lowsec, you should’ve been using a blockade runner

Noted, but blockade runners dont have the storage capacity.

Want to give haulers an edge? Give them friends. Problem solved.

Where can I buy some?

There isn’t anything complex about clicking a couple of buttons, or better using keyboard shortcuts. It’s straight forward and being unintended doesn’t lower its value as a defensive tactic.

There is a reason this is an MMO. if you want to restrict yourself to solo only, then you are never going to be able to do some things that work better with more than one pilot.

Pretty sure there is literally a forum dedicated to that even.

yeah… except it’s not unintended. CCP has actually patched it out twice (that is just how many times i know of) and after it was pointed out ccp re added it. While it was originally emergent gameplay it is very much an intend mechanic at this point.

Based on their fitting habits if you give haulers an edge they will cut themselves with it. :smirk:

Spoiler

I’ve just won the thread. :dealwithitparrot:

It’s ‘‘reading between the lines’’
Your command of the english language is poor at best.

Yes they do. If you’re playing mainly an hauler, this is a good read for you : Blockade Runners.

If you’re too busy searching for the right passage, lemme show it for you :

This is a multiplayer game. Suck it up, and accept it, the door is open otherwise. Having trusty friends to help you WILL benefit you, even in a carrier as dull as space trucker. And as my picture above said, you can always ask a friend or train up an alt to use Black Ops battleships, and move around using their bridges.

Well Im sure CCP will be interested in you encouraging me to leave the game. I thought “sandbox” meant play as you wish? But your highness sees fit to tell me to leave the game becuase I dont play they way s/he does. Nice.

And this in a “features and ideas” forum. LOL!! and they say EVE players arent a-holes. Do us a favor…never reproduce. Your kids dont deserve it.

I’ll subscribe an alt to make up for you leaving. It’ll be fine.

Yeah, play as you want. But you’re suggesting a change to the game and you better be willing to listen to criticism, which apparently, you cannot handle.

Reported for encouraging a player to leave the game and forum stalking.

They have better things to do, I’m afraid.

As long as I review my reply, I never saw one spot where I told you to play my way. EVE is, and has always been, a Harden The ■■■■ Up game. If this is good for you, then perfect. If it isn’t, well, this game isn’t fit for you.

This part of the forum is overrun by trolls and people that won’t take your ideas seriously, and there’s nothing you, or I, or anybody can do about it.

Well, EVE players are literally known for being a holes playing a a-hole game, where backstabbing is common thing. Might want to do your research a bit on that topic.

Like I’m going to listen to any of you on that matter!
Not only will I have kids, I will find where you lived, go there, and let them play with an instrument like a trumpet or an electric guitar in front of your yard at 6 in the morning on a Sunday, for the first time in their lives.
