CCP Zelus Still can`t play in null sec, every time i try to dock in any structure null sec game crash, any idea will there be any solution? Thanks
@CCP_Zelus Is there any news about the tactical view rectangle glitch problem? Can you at least know what the priority of this task is? It seems that this is the last remaining issue that needs to be fixed to make macOS users happy again.
Exactly the same issue occurs when enabling AMD FSR.
The overheating issue is still relevant.
CCP, i would like to ask to add an option to settings to start the game in potato mode ( graphics turned off )
When disconnected in space it causes immense difficulty for people that still have graphical issues.
Relog always throws us in graphical mode and in null space it means deep freeze for many.
I literally have to go, kick my wife off her work computer, log in to Eve and dock somewhere, to continue playing on my computer. If i do it twice in one day i may get health issues
You should get her to swap with youā¦
āYou should get her to swap with youā¦ā
CCP implementing the option has much higher chanceā¦
@CCP Zelus
How is it possible that the game works fine in hs and low sec, but in null sec and jita the game crashes?
Itās impossible to play in null sec, the game It goes slowly and jerkily, crash every time.
Got all things updated for windows 10 and directx 11/12.
I have tried all the settings in the game and nothing works it always crashes.
Still 11 or 12 days cant play but omega running and waste in 2x alts.
I know some people will say play in HS, but I live in null sec and I have everything there and I honestly donāt feel like starting again to play in HS or low sec now.
Iām honestly thinking about quitting playing this game.
Im starting to get mad like francis:
game loads different attributes in NULL, because there are different conditions, different SOV and so on.
So something causing those glitches.
Today i have been testing again and in High Sec i can undock smoothly, but in NULL game stops, freezes for a few seconds, then throws a black screen, like a driver reset, and then continue to run.
I tried it on a different laptop that has less memory ( 8gb) and behavior in null is even more erratic, it is not just one black screen, but EVE goes into blackscreen infinite cycle, it pops, then after several seconds resets, and immediately pops again, and goes on and on.
But i am not even sure CCP taking this seriously and actually trying to fix it.
Their attitude probably is like: āWell we cant reproduce it in our test environment so its all BSā
Yeah, i have tried in diff sites in hs and low sec and game work fine just in jita and null sec i have problems. In null sec game slow, freezes, crashes, imposible to play.
If the problem takes too long to resolve, I donāt think Iāll continue playing, Iāll lose my desire to play.
Please CCP fix this.
Youāre right, I donāt see much enthusiasm for fixing this. Theyāll probably thinking "guys buy a new PC or upgrading, but honestly, Iām better to play another games if they donāt fix it.
CCP already said it in the first message āmost are old pc or with old cards or integratedā Itās the same as saying, buy another new PC.
So I made some testing. I decided to give it a shot and upgrade a little, within my budget.
Initialy:
Intel(R) Core⢠i7-7700K CPU @ 4.20GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB
RAM 2 x 8 GB
DirectX 11
This would happen:

One of the instances will be barely usable until viewed outside or undocked. Happening on all mixes of settings (including everything low/disabled, stopped updating previous post).
UPGRADE:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 3GB > NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB
Same setup, same drivers, same settings.
Then i tested settings set all High, Youtube in front, multiple instances of chrome and some other small processes. In both cases GPU was not going into some kind of overdrive, both instances working smoothly. GPU used for upgrading was not new.
Later upgraded RAM to 24GB but no obvious difference observed.
SIDE NOTE:
While cleaning I damaged one of the RAM sticks. With downgrade 16GB > 8GB and 3GB VRAM the issue also was gone. Given RAM became a bottleneck and both instances were barely usable.
Wow this is genious, I would like to ask that too, please?
Exactly this, since the game keeps crashing now and we come back on space it is really bad, specially if thereās a lot of stuff on space, itās jus terrible.
While one client was forcing my CPU to 100% and freezing the client, I tried to open the character sheet from another client and the character was rendered like this:
Looking like a monster and this persisted like this.
The other clients rendered the character built the characters correctly, however their skin was blue, everybody was blue like an alien.
Tell me you saved a snapshot, lol.
First big fight with this GPU thingy and I am not impressed at all. Even in potato mode I donāt get 10 FPS. Power draw and GPU load are not that bad (thanks to potato) but the client performance is just as poor as with the old system.
Nothing felt at all different from the old system in Sakht. This Sucks.
That sucks. Older PC system?
AMD Ryzen 7 3700X 8-Core Processor 3.59 GHz|
RAM 64,0 GB
Samsung SSD 960 EVO 250GB, 1.82 TB HDD WDC WD20EFRX-68EUZN0, 932 GB SSD WD_BLACK SN850X 1000GB (the last one is where EVE runs on)
AMD Radeon RX 6800 (16 GB)|
Hardly old and hardly anywhere near the lowball specs that CCP mentioned in their dev blog.
I went and checked, and the volumetric effects never get disabled for me, no matter the settings. Switching to low shader settings will have the option to go to low volumetric effects, but not to disable them altogether.
Weird. It used to get disabled in āpotato modeā⦠Maybe this explains some of the performance hits players have been reporting.
