Terrible theory.

There’s still very little stuff in Null.

If you can undock in Jita, then the amount of stuff in Null is not the problem.

This whole thread is a surreptitious attempt to nerf null.

Im almost sure the freeze and crash problems in null are about sovereignty or skyhooks or something dont have in the rest the space HS, LOW, WH, NULL NPC.

I have tested the game in every possible location, i have travel dock/undock on all EDEN.

Minmatar space
Gallente space
Caldari space
High Sec NPC structures
High Sec players structures
Low sec FW
Low sec NPC Structures
Low sec players structures
Null Sec NPC
WH

Everything works fine and smoothly for me except for Jita 4-4 and null sec of players alliances.

I have tried every possible configuration in game and out of game and nothing works.

Run administator
Unistall / install drivers
c++
Directx 11
Inside game all low graphic
Potato mode

Nothing changes, don’t waste your time installing or uninstalling things.

Next big fight and I cannot even mouse over a few ships to get the tooltip without the client crashing.

This whole new tech stack is just another trainwreck.

Volumetric effects to low also worked very well for me. Multi boxing 4 characters with a 4070 ti super and 7800 X3D Cpu

used to run 25 accounts on my 4090 with 128 gb of ram at 70% cpu now it runs at 100 even with 20. pls fix i beg.

Just get a second machine and link them together or use them in parallel. Then you can easily scale to 40 accounts. 25 is a very limited amount and almost of no practical use.

Wonderful^. Next T3 issue: I did not fly a T3 but a normal^ship. I zoomed in and out and my client froze every time I zoomed. After 3 zooms it became so bad that the client almost crashed. This is with Tengus.

When I fly the Loki, the freeze at least only happens once.

This is getting so much out of hand now that I felt the need to bug report it: EBR-37096

if I warp to Jita 4-4 with just one client on low graphics and CONTROL SHIFT F9, or I will crash when I land, or while docking, and sometimes when undocking. But if I dock at any other station in Jita, everything’s fine.

There’s definitely something cursed about Jita 4-4.

We really need a real potato mode from the launcher. Just turn it on there, and the client won’t load anything unnecessary, never load anything unnecessary, even if i try to leave the potato mode I should be blocked from leaving it. The CONTROL + SHIFT + F9 potato mode we have today is fake

what really pisses me off is ccp’s silence. the last post here was 19 days ago.
we as customers paid their avocadotoast this morning and are being punished with disrespect.

Update on this. I have moved my game files from an SSD to an NvMe and it SEEMS to hjave cleared most if not all of it up. I just checked quickly, but it seems to have lost most of the stuttering and hesitations. I’ll get in game and check a little more thoroughly later, but perhaps this is others bottleneck as well? Lot’s of people don’t even think about their disks being the cause…

Some of the older SSDs were more akin to traditional hard drives than the latest generation of SSDs, which are completely different. My older iMac has flash storage - which is the precursor to today’s SSD technology.

NvMEs are about 5-10x faster than SSDs, though - so I can certainly envision you’d see a performance increase. Why this would be needed is beyond me (my new Mac Mini M4 just runs a standard SSD).

Day 20, not launcher updated today, game still crash + freeze, nothing new and CCP no response about many many players still cant play game…

Rightly so, I hope it never gets ‘fixed’ and 3 accounts is the new physical limit on any machine. :innocent:

To be honest, with how rigs are getting better and better over the years I think it would be healthy for the game if CCP added some game-defined limitations to the amount of accounts you can practically multibox, instead of relying on the limitations of PCs to keep things balanced.

Not that I want CCP to ban multiboxing, or even impose a hard limit, I just would like to see a soft limit like ‘0.5 second delay after bringing a client into focus before you can give commands’.

Do you want to multibox 20 ships? Sure! But it will take you 10 seconds to give commands to them all.

CCP would rather send a bottle of champagne to the first guy massmultiboxing a 100 clients at the same time instead, still not realizing how much it hurts their game. :man_shrugging:
