If the test server were still open and available, we would be able to provide regular feedback on bugs before they got to the main server.
If certain individuals and groups didnāt exploit and abuse this, this might actually be possibleā¦ And by certain āgroupsā, I mean a certain region that starts with ānā and rhymes with hullā¦
for now, switch to using DirectX 11 on the launcher (under the gear, and then āEve Onlineā menu).
It is a workaround at best, but hopefully it will make the game playable for you in the interim.
this only works if the launcher allows one to switch to directx 11. In my and many othersā cases, we cannot make this switch.
when they reboot the test server, why not just remove all of the player owned stations, strategic items, etc? Start with a fairly clean server. It used to be open for months and testing was rigorous and bugs were found frequently.
my issues ARE on DX11, how is that a solution?
The game studio I work for simply canāt afford to drop a steaming chod of un-QAād update and screw over a chunk of our player base and not even publicly acknowledge the rektitude of it.
Fair play to those studios that can, i guess? Must be nice
Theyād have to remove a lot more - including filaments, structures, etc. SiSi couldnāt function as a theory-crafting or spy platform.
Hello
so the new Nvidia gfx drivers force Volumetric effects settings to ultra every time you re-start the game, even if you set it to low, close game and launcher, re-launch and it will be back at ultra
@CCP_Caffeine Any updates and/or progress on the MacOS front?
Iām new to the game and have enjoyed the last couple of months playing to the point I bought 3 months of Omega. However, since the now infamous graphics patch the game has become unplayable and from everything I have read there seems to be no update from CCP. I understand things donāt always go as planned but the lack of communication seems very unprofessional. Iām sure there will be some negative feedback and possible some rude comments, but others action shouldnāt keep you from doing what is right.
I havenāt been unable to play Eve since Tuesdays patch. Add this to the fact that Iām paying a monthly sub to play and have zero feedback from CCP in the forums, help ticket, or bug report is starting to get annoying. So, at the risk of being blunt I have 2 questions:
- Do you intend on fixing the issues your patch has caused?
- If so, what sort of timeline are we looking at?
I really donāt want to leave the game. I find it to be an amazing if not addictive game (even during those times of rage after losing a ship due to stupidity). It is easy to justify the money I have spent on Eve but what is not justifiable is spending money on a service which I am not receiving.
Please remember, communication is the key ingredient to any successful relationship.
get used to it, they wont test their soft, they wont tell you information, they wont roll back their screwup, they wont admit they crewed up, they wont give your money back nor extend your omega.
You tell them they broke the game, they wont believe you, cos some one somewhere said they are ok.
this is DX11
hey guys anyone with mac? any fixes to share? my stuff was running ice cold on medium settings with 3 clients, now its hot with just one
I used to have no maps graphics issue until late today:
Map gets progressively worse when zooming in and out. Within 10 seconds of doing it itās unusable. Closing the map doesnāt clear it. Logging off will, however the problem will begin anew when using zoom. All those colorful dots just leave trails on the screen never disappearing (Iām sure thereās a term for it).
Reminder: this is happening on Macbook Pro (15ā', 2017), 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel i7, 16 GB RAM, Radeon 555 Pro GPU.
Not possible to switch between DirectX 12 and DirectX 11 in the launcher settings (the option is there under drop-down menu, it just doesnāt allow activation of DirectX 11). Not sure that would even solve it.
i have similar problem, also using DX11, very very disappointed
Eve freezes, then blackscreens, then starts moving for a split second then freezes again and blackscreens and goes like this in an infinite loop.
if I undock things gets even worse. disabling external graphics somewhat helps but generally similar behavior
Why not give us old stable version while going back to the drawing board and test your soft thoroughly?
Mac here, same overheating issues as wellā¦
Agreed. It has been 3 days. It is well past time for some sort of informative progress report, or for this update to be pulled. It is not professional to expect people who locked themselves into paying for this game weeks, months, or even a year ago to keep wasting money on a game they canāt play enjoyably (or at all!) without at least SOME kind of update or timeline on when this will be fixed. Imagine our chagrin when neither yesterdayās extended nor unscheduled downtime addressed thisā¦
this is AFTER todays patch, stability improved a little bit but generally similar performance, not even close before the graphics update
Did someone pay you to f*** this game up?
