Hand in Security missions from a distance to remove acceleration gates for easier salvaging / looting

Situation 1 (requested)

1 - Do security mission that has 3 different areas / pockets / whatever idk
2 - Bookmark a wreck in each area
3 - Hand in security mission from a distance, taking away all acceleration gates
4 - Dock up, fit salvagers and microwarpdrive, warp to wrecks [ directly ] and loot / salvage

Situation 2 (current)
1 and 2 from above

3 - Either travel back to the agent to hand in mission, then travel back to bookmarked wrecks to salvage / loot. Could be 1 jump. Could be 4 or 5 jumps.

4 - Dont travel back to hand in mission. Dock up, equip salvagers / microwarpdrive, and warp to wrecks

A ANNOYING FEATURE

When the security mission is not handed in yet, the different areas / pockets of a security mission are seperated by acceleration gates.

If you bookmark a wreck in different areas / pockets of the mission, seperated by accelaration gates, and try warping to it while the mission isnt handed in, you have to take the acceleration gate to get to the next wrecks. You can not warp directly to the wreck.

This creates a situation where directly warping to the wrecks requires jumping 1-5 jumps back to the security mission agent, talking to them to complete it, then warping back to the wrecks, 1-5 jumps away, to start salvaging and looting.

If you decide to salvage / loot without going back to the agent to turn in the mission, you can not warp to the wrecks directly.
You have to take the acceleration gate.

And in bigger missions that require bigger and slower ships, the wrecks might be 50 km away from the acceleration gate, and the ship is really slow even with a microwarpdrive/ afterburner, so after you are done salvaging it takes a long time to get to the acceleration gate to get to the next area to salvage the wrecks there.

Example 1 (requested)
1 - Warp to 1 bookmarked wreck
2 - Salvage the wrecks in that area
3 - Warp directly to another bookmarked wreck in same system but different area / pocket / whatever
4 - Salvage wrecks in that area

Example 2 (current)

1 and 2 from above

3 - Instead of warping to the second bookmarked wreck directly, you have to take the acceleration gate, and it will take a while to get there in slower, bigger ships, which are required for the bigger level security missions

4 - Travel slowly to acceleration gate
5 - Salvage / loot the wrecks in that area
6 (CAN NOT DO) - Warp directly to next wreck in next area
6.1 (this happpens) - Travel slowly to the acceleration gate to get to next area with more wrecks

Handing in mission gets rid of acceleration gates, but you can not hand in mission from a distance, and sometimes the mission is 1-5 jumps away from agent.

As an alternative solution, how about doing three missions in your battleship and bookmarking each room, then after turning in you do a round in a ship bonused for tractor beams and salvagers, such as the Noctis? I’m sure you’d find that much more enjoyable than doing salvaging in a battleship.

Maybe, have someone - a younger corps member - in a fleet who follows along and salvages and loots the battle remains.

That’s a big fat NO from me.

Imho all types of missions should be completable as soon as the requirements are fit. If that means you only need to kill all NPCs or a specific structure, then it can be done remotely. If you need to bring back a special mission item, then not.

Oh dear lord, just use an MTU…

Why not drop a MTU in each room, hand it in, return and warp to the MTUs which now had enough time to gather all wrecks and salvage it all in a dedicated salvaging ship?

Doing salvage or looting on grids with wrecks which are still spread everywhere and in a combat ship sounds painfully inefficient.

i would rather the devs make the game better instead of keeping it in a bad state and saying [ it is what it is ]

if positive change, and change in general, is not something that you want, then try asking the devs to bring back a version of eve online from 2000. Because the devs keep adding new things and new content, when you guys want everything to stay the same and never change.

I feel bad for you guys. You guys want the game to stay bad and inefficient, but the devs keep adding new content and stuff and quality of life improvements. There should be a game version that is hard to play on purpose and the devs refuse to make it better or more convenient or efficient. Then you guys will be satisfied and can enjoy playing in inefficient and non-fun ways that could have been better.

Run more sites faster and don’t care about salvage?
Or get an alt? and multitask/box

so you want it faster for people to hunt you down and pod you?
